I'm on day 34...congrats on wanting too quit.
The first week was horrible for me..so after 5 days it got alot better.
The worst time for me is when i'm driving home from work (long drive) listening to my fave music and want a cig to smoke while car dancing lol.
Ignore the cravings, i didn't use a patch or anything.
The best is when people started noticing my perfume, they would say i love your perfume what are you wearing and i would say the same perfume for the last 3 years i've worked here with all of you.
Obviously they just smelled yucky ashtray smoke smell before.
My teeth are noticablly whiter without whitening stuff.
I finally kicked the lollipops out of the house i used while in the first week of quitting so don't worry about gaining weight it's temp.
You'll on cloud nine in the 3rd week..really proud.
I just bought a new dress with the money i was gonna use to get a carton of smokes.
Guys will be attracted to you more.
What's sexy about a smoke coming out of a girls mouth??
Good luck email anytime for more tips as i don't want to strain your eyes right now.
Don't give up if you feel tempted YOU TUBE the truth commercials...the one that got me to really finally quit was the cowboy singing you don't always die from tobacco sometimes they snip out your tongue..he's gota hole in his neck...it woke me up quick!

I have quit many times, but now I'm smoke free for 10 years

Cold turkey every time

Just make sure you have physical activities to do!!! It gets better after about a week

My wife used the patches which helped her through the withdrawal. Just focus on how much better you will feel, your lower insurance and medical fees, and getting rid of that nasty habit!

I quit five years ago...the first and only time I have ever even tried to quit. I did it cold turkey. I drank a lot of very cold water everytime I thought I wanted a cigarette, and kept busy working through those cravings by finding other things to do. It isn't easy, and the temptation to say forget it is strong..but stick with it. After the first three weeks it gets a little easier.
