yes..but she should not take authority over the men.. I see women as primarily ministering to other women..
She should be under the covering of her Husband and Pastor. There are some very good women preachers out there.. A woman can hold most any of the ministry gifts except Pastor or Apostle as those require taking authority over men.. Evangelist, teacher, Deacon, Elder.

Many use the scripture in Romans 10 to say that there is no difference between men and women, but it is talking about salvation if you will read the text..And galatians also is talking about one in Christ, not one in the ministry or the woman being the head of the house..
Rom 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

It depends.

According to Jesus Christ -- yes. In many of the first christian writings around and after the time of Jesus's death (the ones that didn't quite make the cut when MEN were determining what books should be included in the bilble), both Jesus's mother Mary and Mary Magdalene preached and taught in his name. Mary was seen as a great inspiration to the Romans who converted to christianity, which is why she is held in such high regard by the Roman catholic church. However, to keep men in the role of being in command, the church kept her teachings out of the bible and recognized her as a saint instead.

According to the words of Paul -- it is shameful for a woman to even speak in church, even to the point that she should wait until after the service and ask her husband if she doesn't understand any part of the teachings. Paul also says that a woman should never teach over men.

I guess it depends on who you center your faith around.

I think that if a woman feels led to preach, then she should preach. If people don't like it, they don't have to come. On the other hand, it may give strength and encouragement to some of the other woman who feel trapped in a "man's world".

If God gives her the gift to do it, why not? Why would God give her the necessary spiritual gifts and the anointing of the Holy Spirt to preach, and then say don't do it? Have you ever seen Joyce Myers, or any of the other fine women preachers on televisions. Let's face it, the brothers are not doing a good enough job, all by themselves. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

As a Catholic striving to be devout ... I have no problem with hearing a woman preaching, reading the Bible, Baptizing, Anointing of the Sick, I could even have her bless my marriage ...

I could not take a Eucharist meal transfigured from her (but she can pass it out after a male Priest does the transfiguration) or I cannot get forgiveness in the Sacrament of Reconciliation from her ... or from anyother Preacher, Minister (male, female) who did not receive "Holy Orders".

Can't be trusted....

It was a woman that ate the forbidden fruit in the garden! So no.....

JUST KIDDING! Get off! I was just kidding about that. I think that if they can preach the word of God, then have at it! I would listen to them...

Is there a good reason anyone can give as to why a woman shouldn't preach? That is to those who want to listen. No one should preach to anyone who doesn't believe as they do and don't want to hear it, or just plain don't believe in God.
Not Christian, but rah rah, go women.

Not from behind the pulpit. Let the men hang themselves - they sure don't need any help from us women - doing a good job all on their own.
When Paul said: A women should keep her mouth shut - he meant in a church setting. He was protecting woman, though he took much fire for it.

The divine gave the responsibility of teaching/preaching to the female. We have the cradle of life (uterus).

It's really "odd" some beliefs think an all knowing, doing "god" gave the uterus to the "evil doing" females, eh? What was thee thinking? ; ) Methinks a bunch of beliefs are more than a tad incorrect.
