It isnt just mexican men. General in the hispanic culture it tends to be a very male dominated world. The concept of the man is the provider & ultimate authority is one of the key elements within the family. This is tied in with religion as well, since most Hispanics are of the Catholic faith which takes the role of submissive women. It is very important within a hispanic family for the men to be proven as men.

As a Hispanic and lifestyle dominatrix, let Me just say it's a complex issue. Even in old-fashioned Hispanic families, there was a sharp division as to who has the power and what they control. Yes, the man might be allowed to make the major decisions but when it came to the home and kids, the women made all the decisions and the man didn't mess with the woman's power in those areas.

Some families play elaborate games where the woman has to "act sweet" to get permission to do some things and the man expects to be coddled.

Times are changing but, even today, there are few lifestyle Hispanic Dommes.
