Why, may I ask, are you so interested in practicing witchcraft?

There is a difference between practicing and dabbling. The dabbler has book knowledge and is easily swayed. The practitioner has experience and with dedication may move beyond the outer court. I do not believe you have "practiced" every religion. If you have, then it says something about your loyalty and devotion.

A good read for you may be the Witch's Bible Compleat by Farrer/Farrer.

You may want to consider why you want to be on this path. You may also want to assess what you will do when you face resistance.

Come to http://www.theenigmaleague.net/index.php and http://www.witchschool.com/main.asp
I prefer Liber Null for Chaos Magick. And for meditation I follow an online course.
First you have to choose a tradition. You can practice different traditions. Finally it is your own tradition. There are many traditions (and wrong paths to avoid).

The very first thing I recommand is the Wiccan Rede. Read Remember and Understand, so you will not go in the wrong path. Witchcraft and Wiccanism is interconnected.

First you have to ask yourself Why you have chosen this path. There has to be a very good reason. You can't expect Riding a Broomstick and Freezing Ur enemies and Apperaring to a parellel universe.

It needs a lot of practice and patience to be able to cast spells. A spell is a bidding to Mother nature for a favour. So you have to connect with her. She is so kind (but not a person). She is everywhere and you can see if you have eyes. You are a part of the mother nature. Love her and all her children.

Talking about books again. You have to write your own, called the book of shadows, a must for a witch. You write your own from what you have practiced and acheved. You should not cop[y and paste to Book Of Shadows from other books.

Meditation is the basic thing of Witchcraft. You have to have someone to take advice personnaly, even through the Internet. Meditation advice and feedback from some person is something hard to get from a book. Try the links above for professional assistance.

Beware of the frauds and the evil ones. Choose the right path. Don't trust everyone. Don't go telling everyone that you are a witch. Beware of Christians!

Blessed Be!

And Christians!!!
Who asked for your advice. Just let the girl learn what she wants. They thinks that everyone must believe what they believes.

Ok first off You need to know that magick has to do with scientific sources. And witchcraft Is not evil in any way nor do we believe in Evil. The best book for a starter to recognize what it is truely is New Millenium Magick- A complete system of self-realization by Donald Tyson. It will teach you many great things. If you would like to know more contact me on Msn as bellamente_bendito@hotmail.com or princessofwolves@yahoo.ca

It takes time !

Blessed Be!

Good for you - Witchcraft can be practiced by any religion, as long as your religion doesn't forbid it, of course. Or you might decide to join one of the many Pagan religions enjoying a resurgence these days. Just be mindful that witchcraft does follow the laws of physics (it is simply directing energy after all) and what ever you send out will come back to you.

Raymond Buckland is good for beginners.

My advice, dont rush into spell casting. Dont get involved in witchcraft just to cast spells, as many people do. There is much to learn first.

Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham

Anything by Scott Cunningham, really. Raymond Buckland is good as well.

Oh, and ignore all of the bible-thumping Jesus freaks. People fear what they don't understand.

Are you tough enough to stand this kind of criticism and hatered everyday?

I would suggest Starhawk's -Spiral Dance.

In order to preform magic, one must first become connected with the Universe from which our energy is drawn. It is in totality a re-awakening of the spirit, remembering of Universal secrets (lost through the ages), and a target for those whose fear what they do not understand. So if you have a tough skin and a pure heart, join us my friend. There are Pagan camps all over this land. Memorial Weekend will spawned many large festivals. Find one close to you, that you can attend at least for the day, or camp all weekend. This is how I started, and frankly, the people were so nice it almost made me sick!

I know of 2 camps in the heartland!
