You spontaneously remember a past life if you have issues to resolve from that life. There are other means to remember, such as hypnosis, meditation & through your dreams. Dreams are a big source of past life information. Think of a new born baby who laughs in their sleep right after they are born. They're obviously dreaming, but they have nothing to dream about, other than a previous life.

In order for the process of 'perfecting' the ability to live in this dense, rather harsh, environment of the physical it takes a quite some 'work', many talk of 'kharma' but few speak of 'Dharma'.
If one has contemplated the ancient Tantric thought-tool, that is now reproduced as a child's toy, 'Snakes and Ladders', one can see that we can proceed towards the 'Light' of understanding in a smooth progression, but that along the way the possibility of 'error' occurs, and that if we let our attention slip for a moment we can be swallowed by a 'snake', Taoism would probably describe the snakes as 'Dragons', and most of us have an understanding of what 'Chasing the Dragon' means.
We are here to help each other to enjoy and advance, and each time we do, we climb a ladder.
The point is that we must make those choices of our own free will each time, and we 'knew' the results clearly our will would be influenced by knowledge of undersirable results. This isn the meaning of the 'Garden of Eden' story, it is the knowledge of 'Good and Evil' that renders the process more difficult.
Some have entered the world with more 'memory' than most of us. As linear 'time' appears to progress more and more are manifesting with more retained 'memory', the 'Indigos' and so on. This process is accelerating beyond all measure over recent times.
The so-called ADD 'condition' is no such thing, it is merely the perception of highly advanced new 'incarnations' who seem to be 'troublesome' to both parents and schoolteachers, and this is the reason there are over four million ( yes, I did write 4,000,000 ! ) children on Ritalin or similar drugs in the uSA every day.
Of course people are having trouble that children 'see' more clearly than they do, and seem to 'know' more.
I am sure that everyone here took a poll of how many have had 'glimpses' of other lives, in dreams and waking thoughts the results would be astounding, in fact I'm going to ask that very question in Polls.
Thanks for asking a very good question.

Memory will be seal when soul reincarnate in new body but it's still there. When you achieve some good deeds to go to heaven and Nirvana, you will recall all of them. The one, who can recall some of these memories, is gifted because they were monks or did many good deeds in the past life. A newborn can see things and remember things that we cannot since their mind is as pure as the holy one - even they cannot speak, their reaction will show you some of these mysteries!

Many people recall a lot of things but chalk it up to "imagination" or think that it is something they must have seen somewhere. Also you must be open to it.
Try to relax and recall something of another life, try to question yourself why you are here this time? What is your life.s theme? Mine is that I am always trying to stay "GOOD", I had an issue of being thought of as a bad person. Now I know that I am good. So I guess what I am saying is that IF you were meant to re-call you probably can, there are probably some people that are meant NOT to re-call but they would not fall into the majority. it is just irrelevant to this life cycle in most cases.

Buddhism teaches that when a person dies they are reborn and that this process of death and rebirth will continue until Nirvana is attained.
Most religions believe that the core of the person, the real person, is the soul, a non-material and eternal entity that survives in the afterlife. Buddhism on the other hand says that the person is made up of thoughts, feelings and perceptions interacting with the body in a dynamic and constantly changing way. At death this stream of mental energy is re-established in a new body. Thus Buddhism is able to explain the continuity of the individual without recourse to the belief in an "eternal soul", an idea which contradicts the universal truth of impermanence.
The circumstances into which one is reborn is conditioned by the sum total of the kamma created in the previous life.

If we could all remember our past lives, everything would be in chaos. In one life bad things may have happened, would you really want the memory of a horrible past while you start your new life. If you were killed would it be good for a child to have that in gory detail in there mind?
I'm not sure why some people remember. Maybe they've been back so many times they've learned how to keep some memorys

Buddhists don't have faith in reincarnation. they suspect in rebirth. this is distinctive simply by fact there is not any soul to be reborn in Buddhism. particularly our strikes in this life are exceeded directly to the subsequent. no rely while you're taking this to point we are born lower back or no rely if this is greater to do with life on an entire simply by fact our strikes do influence the subsequent era, it is your determination. Siddharta Gautema (the Buddha) replaced into from India so he's possibly to have been encouraged via Hindu theory. some Hindus have faith that Siddharta replaced right into a reincarnation of Krishna. Hindus have faith that residing a sturdy life and having sturdy Karma will advise they might attain "moksha" (reported moksh -potential appropriate salvation). Buddhists have faith in a matching aim - enlightenment. once you grow to be enlightened in Buddhism you recieve the identify "the Buddha". In the two Hinduism and Buddhism, after "moksha" or the enlightenment, you're starting to be the skill to flee the cycle of rebirth.

Because it is not a easy job !! You have to learn yoga and concentration of mind to one motive ! You have to do practice for this and in sufficient practice may not lead to any where !That's why some are blessed with this !Secondly very few can have this thing in born also !It is not heredity but a transferring of the previously gathered knowledge in the present life ! Perhaps all scientific invention done by scientist in their days are the continuous process of this life transferring events ! Any way it all depends ! Every one can not become medical doctor even if they are given a Chance to be ! and if they become than tose every one can not do equal type of surgery !Always YouRsmE

~~~ arveen ,,,,Because in the "Grand Scheme of Things" this would be akin to having The Answers before your Test. This is why Understanding the Hindu term of "Maya" is so critical in this context. Maya is The Illusion that we are Human Beings and Earth Reality is "Ultimate Reality", when in actuality The Ultimate Reality is that we are Spiritual Beings having Human Experiences, ie: Lifetimes to catalyze Soul Growth,,,for the Ultimate Goal of "Enlightenment".
When you are born into this life, you are a product of your past lives, you continue working on your spiritual growth. Your past life experiences plus the accumalative experiences and knowledge of all ages are latent within you, these can be accessed through meditation. Depending upon your mental focus, one can identify with ones past life or going deeper into consciousness one can identify with any one who has ever lived and perhaps even those who ever will live.
