Thanks for asking a truly great question, Katy.
I put this thought together a few years, and I have been touting it around ever since.
A question I put to others when it seems appropriate :
" What do you think would happen if we could everyone to stop whatever mean or nasty things they were doing, or even thinking, for one moment, and all agree to do only nice things or think nice thoughts form that moment, or at least to do or think nothing 'negative' ?"
A 'Good' Moment.
Most people answer along the lines of :
"It'll never happen "
Think about it, what kind of people are we that we cannot even answer a simple question about an event that would mean something positive if it were to come to be ?
My own answer to the question is simple :
"I believe that there would be a shudder pass right around the planet, a sort of shiver, something physically tangible, and that people would say 'what was that ?', and that people would say 'that felt nice' let's do it again, and that we could just switch to that mode collectively, if we so chose.
Now what has this to do with 'praying' ?
Again, simple, the concept of 'praying' as in to some higher entity, call it 'god' or whatever is the same thing. It is the placing of our individual creative powers in harmony and trying to create a change on a mutual basis, which is, I believe how most of the perceived Universe that we occupy is sustained. The only difference is to remember, collectively, the Truth about who we really are.
The words you quote are the remnants of an older understanding, and it is absolute truth that when one 'prays' that it has 'power', when two or more do it, it has more 'power', but when we all do it simultaneously and for the same objective we have the 'power' to alter entire Universes.
There was an experiment a few years ago in Washington DC where a few thousand people gathered to 'pray' for less crime, and the statistical evidence was unequivocal, the figures went down so dramatically that even the highly sceptical police chief became a 'believer' and the experiment was continued.
How we describe the mechanics isn't important it is the focussed and concentrated application of our collective 'Intent' that does the job.

I think we could change a lot of things this way. Not only praying for a common good, but praying that we as individuals will all do our part. Pray that we are lead by the Holy Spirit to be in the right place at the right time.
I also believe, that many things are set in stone, Revelations being the example, that things will get worse before our Savior returns.

If all the people in the world have the willingness to pray then they can stop injustice without the help of god.
I don't think it's gonna happen because the world can't be perfect

Unlikely. Too many selfish people (even within the church) for that to happen. Besides, the Word says a couple of this about that:
"Many false prophets will appear and deceive many people, and because lawlessness will increase, the love of many people will grow cold." (Matthew 24:11-12)
"But evil people and impostors will go from bad to worse as they deceive others and are themselves deceived." (II Timothy 3:13)
While we can pray about it, and hope for the best, our expectation is that things will go from bad to worse.

I think if enough people actually tried to solve world peace themselves instead of going "God will fix it". And I'm not only having a go at religious people - I'm an atheist and I get sick when atheists say "There's no point trying - religious people will just screw it up" etc.
Actions speak louder than prayer.

solid questions. Ecclesiastes 8:9 says 'guy has ruled guy to His damage'. Jeremiah 10:23 'It does not belong to guy to direct his personal steps'. we favor help. Jesus taught us to wish for God's Kingdom to got here, so God's will might want to be performed in the international as in Heaven. it is going to take God's Kingdom to herald this peace. Daniel 2:40 4 tells us the way it is going to do this. In Matthew financial ruin 24, Mark financial ruin 13, and Luke financial ruin 21 tells us what is going to ensue shortly beforehand this takes position. regardless of if there have been a number of adult males or females attempting to impressive the topics international wide, they merely are not waiting to finish that. the topics are to enormous and for real peace to ensue it has to contain each guy, females, and new child. we ought to favor that peace. we favor to have In our hearts no malice, hatred, violence or the different unfavourable emotions in direction of others. no matter if or not they are our associates next door or neighboring international places. change first takes position in our selves, we shouldn't assume everyone else to do it first. all of us favor to examine our bible, it may help us to the thanks to enhance love for others. Then, once all of us comprehend the thanks to love, we favor to computer screen it in our lives as perfect we can.

Yes!
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7: 14
Take care.

No, it will take action. Writing to our govt and say that we don't support war is more likely to get some results.
