"Why" implies intent and a plan. Perhaps those who identify an intelligence (or at least a sort of "clockwork" logic) behind the universe are inclined to ask this question. Otherwise, it simply "is." Intent is a thinking ahead, a prediction of what will happen and a looking back on those predictions coming to pass or not; it implies that something is struggling with you or against you. If you accept that things just "are," then there is no "why." Any "why" question can be rephrased to a "how" or "what was the intent behind..." or "what logic is behind this..." question. So perhaps it is best expressed with the litany of "Why?" and "Why not?" Sometimes it seems to be a game that is borne of human consciousness...a Saturday night ramble...hope someone got something out of it! Cheers!

Why not? It could have as easily been "not" why, and then my dear friend nothing would have been possible. However because we are learning that anything just might be possible and nothing, it appears is impossible our why came into existence to allow us to question the answer. For there is only one answer and it is not "impossible" because you are thinking about it now.
The world of thought and why it exists is the only reason we have why, because where else does why come from if not from our thought? Now, how, how?

Wow, it doesn't get any more fundamental then that. The seven primary keys/questions in life are:
what, which, where, when, why, how and who. Each serves a unique purpose and each acts as a key to unlocking the door to a particular answer or truth. 'Why' is the key one uses when trying to understand the meanings, motives and intents behind that which is being questioned.
Your question tells me that what you're looking for is the meaning BEHIND the meaning, to which I can only say, 'because'.

Answers begin with paying attention...asking why...seeking out answers. The answers that come out of those wonders and asking " why " lead to comprehension, awareness and growth.
