For the flavor of a really delicious beer,or also wine;though there are many wine connoisseur's (self called) that really can't differentiate the taste of an excellent wine to a sub standard.Same goes with vodka,in taste tests very,very few knew the taste of the vodka they chose as their own.Also another reason some people,just simply want the buzz and to get drunk and party!Other reason peer pressure.Another, growing up in an alcoholic home can influence younger drinking.Everything in moderation,so cheers!

It makes a person feel more confident and works in social situations to enable a person to feel more comfortable. Some people drink to relax, others do it to get drunk and silly. Some people drink because you loose your inhibitions and feel like your having more fun. Again, others do it to hide from reality, or cover a painful memory. Unfortunatly when a person goes to far with it, it only makes things worse when trying to blur reality. I think the biggest reason though, is socialization (everyone has a drink).

Health reasons (it breaks down your kidney and liver much faster than that of someone who doesn't drink, also you have a lot less migranes / headaches) + you will also have more spending money for other things, because good alcohol can get expencive.

There are lots of reason people drink Alcohol. 1. A loss of a love one .Or friend.

I personally like the taste more than the buzz. Don't get me wrong, it helps me relax and all, but a few good beers is better than a whole bunch of crappy ones. It's not all about the buzz, for many it is, but a rum and coke just tastes good to me. I don't get really drunk that often anymore, unless I have a reason to celebrate with friends.

I personally do not drink much but my close friends always drink beer whnever possible.
They always cite alcohol as a great stress reliever - helps them rleax and be uninhibited.
And i guess when u are unhappy, alcohol helps to numb the pain....
god... this is so depressing.

My best friend and I used to kick back a couple after work once in a while, just to relax and hang out for a bit. After he died in an auto accident, I drink every day, so I can sleep at night.

People drink for different reasons. Some drink to forget things, some drink to celebrate, some to socialize, and some just to get drunk.
