From what I've learnt, the ablution does not make us 'holy', instead it is a cleansing process required by Allah before we perform a few ibadah (rituals) like solat.
So, I think it is more appropriate to say that ablution makes us clean. It is quite obvious because during the ablution we wash our normally exposed parts like the face, the hands, the head and the legs. But the most important thing is that because Allah said so and asked us to perform it.

Dude, person, whatever you are.

Does a ritual 'make' you 'holy' ( dedicated) ?

Or does the fact that you allow ourself to dedicate yourself to God show that you are 'holy' ?

If you don't understand this, then don't do anything. If you are serious about dedicating yourself to God, then do it with knowledge, not just because a priest tells you that you must. You don't seem ready to do anything. You clearly don't know what to focus on. You can get there by focusing on Jesus. Trust Jesus and live your convictions. Don't live someone elses convictions or you will find yourself doing things that you have no faith in.

EDIT: What the hell is 'minitulation' anyway? lol I think that you are going to get a lot of weird answers!
