As I recall, the announcers had a hard time finding the debris on the track to show us.

Yes anouncers have mentioned this and even the fans.
I have written NASCAR about this,I also wrote about the number of Green-White-Checkers last year.
There have been too many at to many "incidental times" that may or may not have helped teams.
Keep writting NASCAR.KEEP complaining.
Let's get back to racing.
GO JOE GIBBS RACING

There are some times when the "ghost derbis" make cautions come out but as Tony said, 3 of his most trusted NASCAR officials told him that they don't call cautions unless it is absolutely necessary like an article on NASCAR.com said. He said that he should of gone to NASCAR first and voiced his opinion before making those comments because he said that he wants everyone to be safe and hes opposed to it but what if that trash bag got blown onto his widnshield and made him have a serious crash then he would of been wishing that the debris caution would have came out and got that off the track. Rather be safe then sorry. The only reason he was also mad is because he passed Jeff then Jeff passed him back. Jeff Burton made a comment saying that if he believes that the fans and drivers think that NASCAR is favoring some teams then he would have to quit, and would because he doesn't want to be apart of something like that.

debris cautions suck, but nascar has several spotters around the track and its their job to look for debris. Most of the time it is nothing but a wrapper or piece of rubber, but its better safe than sorry when you have cars racing at 185 mph. Caution debris will always be there. I don't think nascar "fixes" races. thats the most ridiculous thing I've heard and If I thought that, I wouldn't watch it. If you don't like it, watch something else.

Tony wasn't the only one questioning the debris cautions, so were the other driver's... the one's that were NOT in the lead at the time.... some driver's will think of anything to explain away their bad luck... get over it ! Do any of you HONESTLY want to tell me you're going to quit watching and quit going to races just because of that !!! Let's be serious, if you're TRUE Nascar fans, you'll be there to cheer on your favorite driver, just like me... GO JEFF GORDON !!!

I have a problem with debris cautions. I watch racing every week and I don't see any debris on the track and it is never shown,

Thats just NASCAR being NASCAR. Its been happening all year with fans, commentators, and even other drivers saying they cant find the debris for the some cautions. They never admit they are wrong but hopefully they stop calling cautions for unseen debris.

Yes, I think just like Tony that NASCAR favors Gordon, and Johnson, NASCAR should have to pay the other drivers, and not pay a penny to Hendrick Motorsports. Fans can speak up and NASCAR won't listen, a MAJOR race needs to have a bad fan turn out to boycott their so called debris cautions. If you notice most of the cautions for that come out when the hendrick boys are doing good.

I was at the race, had really good seating and I saw no debris on the track! Every one seated around me also saw nothing! I do recall hearing the announcers once questioning where the debris was located. Kinda makes you wonder, doesn't it?

Jimmie Johnson also complained back at Daytona this past year.

one of Nascar's reporters went to interview him at the end. Johnson said something like, "Nascar called a caution for debris, i think they still haven't found it"
