It is truly a sad time my friend. It seems that common sense is becoming extinct. I too will join you in anger about this. For I think we live amongst a bunch of freakin' fools.

New Government regulations now say that all foods must have an allergen label identifying if they contain any of the common food allergies, milk, eggs, nuts, wheat, soy, and seafood. This is because in many foods the allergens are not clearly identifiable in the ingredients. For example casein is another name for milk. If you had an allergy to milk and did not know that you could become ill. Also many people are so allergic to certain foods that anything that comes in contact with that allergen will make them sick. That's why they also label if it is made in a facility that processes nuts, milk, etc.
Even though eggs and milk obviously contain those allergens, they are not exempt from government regulations. Someone could easily say they mistook the real milk for soy milk.

This is because people sue over the stupidest hings nowadays. They have to put that on there by law for people with allergens. Such as a bag of peanuts saying contains peanuts, well duh!! This is like the case of Mcdonalds vs. The 80-yr old woman. They did not put on thier cups that "contents may be hot" well you and I both know coffee is hot, most people don't drink cold coffee...Hope this helps...

people are always looking for a way to get quick money. Therefore if they write it on there the company is covering themselves from a lawsuit from some idiot. It is common sense but some people either don't have it or want to make some money. its sad actually.

You would be surprised at how many people would sue the company if it wasn't written there. Common sense is something that is almost non existent in some people. It's very, very sad, but true.
