Catholics believe that from the moment of conception until natural death, each human being is endowed by God with dignity and rights.
You shall not kill. (Ex 20:13; cf. Deut 5:17)
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you. (Jer 1:5; cf. Job 10:8-12; Ps 22:10-11)
My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately wrought in the depths of the earth. (Ps 139:15)
Early Church writings: You shall not kill the embryo by abortion and shall not cause the newborn to perish. (Didache 2, 2: SCh 248, 148; cf. Ep. Barnabae 19, 5: PG 2, 777; Ad Diognetum 5, 6: PG 2, 1173; Tertullian, Apol. 9: PL 1, 319-320)
With love in Christ.

Wow- you really need to ask this?
Catholics were the ORIGINAL protesters against legalized abortion.
We believe that once sperm meets egg, a new human life exists, distinct from either parent.
To intentionally end the life of that human being is murder- whether it is through surgery or drugs. By that I mean to explain that one iof the ways the birth control pill works is by making the lining of the uterus unable to support the implantation of the fertilized egg ( translation- BABY). So women who take the Pill often have chemical abortions without even realizing it.
The Church also teaches that we need to treat women who have had abortions with compassion, They usually do not realize the seriousness of their decision or the haunting effect it will have on their lives.
They are encouraged to use the Sacrament of Reconciliation to receive the forgiveness and mercy of our Lord, and to seek additional counseling through Rachel's Vineyard, a ministry to men and women who have lost children- and grandchildren to abortion.

We believe that abortion is murder. That life begins at conception and that every child killed in the womb is a human being...no less deserving of life then any other human being on this earth.

The Church says it's a sin. Life starts from conception, the Bible tells us, so if anyone has an abortion, it's technically murder.

same as most conservative protestants
children are a gift from God
human life is to be specially respected since man is made in the image of God
human life begins at conception
the Bible descibes John the Baptist leaping in the womb and David said his sin nature went back to conception

well i am not Catholic i am Armenian Orthodox but know all Christen religions .it is not really allowed. basically you have done sexual activity most of the time unmarried (which that's bad in religion) and then they want the child in the wound to die
and the bible stats it is a sin to kill so basically it would be not allowed in my opinion but other religions like atheist don't believe it's bad.

They don't believe in abortion! As soon as the seed is fertilized, it is the start of a human being!
