I take Oxycontin 40 and Oxy IR 5 for chronic pain from Pelvic Congestion Syndrome. I also take anti-inflammatories and Birth Control to help with the pain and Marinol (THC in a pill) if I need it for nausea. The Oxycontin and Oxy IR have truly, truly saved my life. This time last year, I couldn't even get out of bed because I was suffering so much.

Yep... I take 6 Percocet 10-325 per day (sometimes more, sometimes less... depending on my pain level) I also take Tramadol (which is non narcotic and a narcotic antagonist so it actually acts AGAINST the perc's) during the day so that I am not tempted to take too much of my narcotic pain meds. It also helps your body not build up a tolerance quite as fast to the narcotics. I cant take them within 4-6 hours of each other though or they basically cancel each other out!
The reason I take them is for Chronic back pain that I have been suffering with for over 10 yrs. I was doing OK w/out narcotics at ALL until I had my children.. but the weight of carrying them and what it did to my body worsened my condition and have now been on narcotics for over 5 years! :(

Yes, I live with chronic back pain. There are many people out there that take pain medications daily to simply make the pain tolerable to make it through the day.

Yes, for chronic back pain and sciatica due to nerve damage. I also have degenertive disc disease and scar tissue around a nerve root in my spine. I have been taking meds for 14 years and change them every so often when they become less effective.

I was taking Morphine injections, Morphine tablets, Morphine liquid and Morphine patches for chronic pain.
I was miserable from the pain. And miserable from the drugs so found a drug free alternative and went cold turkey. I don't recommend it and I did know better, but was desperate.

Yes, I have taken Neurontin to control cranial and facial pain. I recently stopped but I had taken it for more than five years. Do you have a specific concern?
