I got my tattoo two wednesdays ago and heres what I did. I washed it and put ointment on it three times a day for the first three days. The rest of the time I didn't do nothin to it because I ain't got lotion or nothin..... Will that make my tattoo fade or screw up in any way not using lotion?

could you not have gone to the store to get lotion? that may cause your tattoo to fade becuase without something to moisturize the skin it is likely to form thicker scabs than it should and when those scabs come off they may take some extra ink with them. it is necessary to follow tattoo aftercare instructions to have a long lasting beautiful tattoo.

you really should use some kind of unsented lotion because it will scab and get stiff it just heals better. get something like suave for sensitive skin it is cheap or a small bottle of vitamin e oil.

It shouldn't mess it up but the softer you keep it the less it will scab and the better it will look after healing.
