You have a couple of questions in there, so I'll break 'em down in a row.

Do I think females are the weaker sex? Honestly, yes. From my point of view, being a guy, I value logical, orderly, assertive decision-making. Talking is for the exchange of ideas and to establish dominance. Physical prowess means you can hunt more and better and you'll survive. Women, in my views, talk to build relationships, not trade info. They make decisions in a different manner than I do. They don't solve problems so much as maintain their friends. So, I view them as weaker. It's no offense.

Men aren't more clever then women. Society holds men in higher esteem, probably unfairly, so the greats of history are male-dominated. Watson and Crick, the guys who discovered the double helix DNA strand for humans, stole it from a girl who disappeared suspiciously not too long afterwards. Boudica was a great general who fought (but lost) to the Romans in old-days England. Women have made their mark, but many more men dominate the playing field.

The guys in your class are being douchebags. Don't worry about what they say. They're probably intimidated that you can compete with that. As men get older and into college, they LOVE the girls who are smart, who add to class, who can handle their own intellectually. Most guys start disliking the pretty, but ditzy types. NEVER purposely try to act like that, no matter what guys say. When you're 30 and you own your own business, you won't worry about what a bunch of middle school or high school kids, who work at McDonald's still, told you in the past.

Good luck

I know I'm a girl but this question was just asking for it.

The only country where women are truly at a disadvantage are male dominant countries such as Pakistan, Israel and other 3rd world countries. Its not because the women are not smart, its just because they don't have any rights.

No it doesn't mean that men are smarter then women.

Most politicians are male because all politicians in high power are old, back when they were at university women didn't have nearly as many choices. Plus politicians are workaholics and have been for many years to get to the position they are in. Most women opt to spend about 5-10 years not being workaholics to raise kids.

When I mean workaholics I mean go to work at 8am come home 11:30 on a normal day.

ummm Most writers aren't male.

As for scientists, you have to be really interested like completely fascinated by science and its only recently that people have started realising that chemistry and physics aren't just boyish subjects.

But you look at something like Medicine and there are more women getting in then men. They try to keep the balance but the females are still in the lead.

Some men dislike smart women, some men dislike spiders... its completely. Basically its just back to the whole chauvunistic thing where men should be smarter then the poor innocent ignorant woman. Today most people would prefer their partner to be jsut as smart as they are.

No to your first question, historically women have always been given little or no opportunity to become professional, and even taught from childhood that it was a natural condition. Men are not cleverer than women but they are bigger risk takers and that makes them THINK they're more clever.

Generally, whether they admit it or not, but you must understand that their egos are larger and they resist learning HOW to compete with women.

So typical of boys that age, as they mature they will (or should) understand that men and women may think differently but they are dependent on each other’s skills and unique viewpoints.

If I thought women were a weaker sex i would have to hold a gun to my head right now. I go out with a girl right now that I think is smarter than I'll ever be. She able to deal with things a lot better also. Really people are just ignorant with the way the world is. Many people proably do belive what your asking but there are amny people who belive that it is wrong. Someone is only weaker when they make them selves that way.

I think men have much more natural curiosity (and bigger egos) than women, which lead them into pursuing more adventurous and ambitious goals. When we are young, it is usually the boys who are getting into trouble experimenting with various stuff. Men tend to yearn for respect and recognition more than girls and this also drives them on.

I certainly believe men dislike women who are too smart because they feel kind of threatened by them. Whether we are stronger, more intelligent, braver or not, most of us like to believe that we are.

It really should not surprise you that the boys in your class are more interested or attracted to your physical appearance than your IQ.....you are dealing with the human being's most basic instinct. And I think you'll find that the girls in your class, if they are honest, would share the same attitudes towards boys.

women are different -- never weaker --- i would LOVE to see some of these macho males have a baby (i have no illusions -- i could never do it)

i love a lady that is intelligent and those guys are immature as you get older you appreciate a lady more --- or at least you do if you mature

men biologically have more physical strength in some areas but we are not able to do 2 things at once as ladies can

there are a lot of books that investigate the differences and relate that back to evolution

so we are different and as the saying goes --- viva la difference ---- best wishes

No. lady bodies are not equipped the comparable way men's are, yet that would not cause them to inherently weaker. i've got not got a very good kind of muscle, yet I boxed for some years whilst i became youthful and that i understand a thank you to combat. i ought to kick the time-honored guy's at the back of in a actual combat, even regardless of the undeniable fact that i'm no longer as 'reliable' as him. struggling with is approximately technique and adventure.

Women are weak only if they let them self be.

Look around you today, most young women have it together better than most men. ( By the way I am a Male)

It's just that young men like to think that they are gods gift to women & if a women appears too competent they are but off by it. They want to be in control & be waited on.

So young women have to appear to be weak, to attract a suitable male, But must be stronger to be able to appear weak & still control the things that need to be done.

I know I'm not a guy, but guys shouldn't think that!!! After all half of the Ivy Leauge Schools (the most prestigious colleges in the U.S.) are run by women.

i would stop worrying about what a guy thinks and develop more what you think. i would not base your judgement on what anyone thinks irregardless of sex, age, religion etc. you are the one that counts the most when you form your opinions. believe you are equal, and you will get equality from both sexes.
