Online dating has revolutionized the way singles meet. With the challenges of dating in today's world, more and more people are turning to the internet. One of the numerous benefits of online dating is that many of the communication and even location barriers are playing less and less of a role in people's relationships. However, the world is a very large place and the chance of encountering your soul mate in your day to day life is small, especially if you are busy or overly shy. This is where dating websites can be a great tool; there are a large amount of online resources available at your fingertips to help make this search a lot easier. Below we have outlined the benefits of online dating.

I'm sorry to have to tell you that none of them are any good. E-harmony is the worst one. They take your money and you never receive any matches. I quit them the first month after signing up. Of course they'll say they have the perfect match waiting for you but that's a lie. Other e-harmony users will tell you the same thing. American Singles is a big meat market, dating.com has alot of strange guys on it who admit to having a wife/girlfriend, match.com has alot of liars on it, and so does yahoo personals. Also, alot of these websites have fake pictures of men or pictures of men that are way out of date. Some of the pictures include men in the bathtub which doesn't sit well with me. Match Doctor is a free online dating site but they seem to draw more of the "adult" crowd. I don't recommend any of the online dating sites. I've tried them all at some point and got nothing but heartache. Please save yourself the heartache. Better off alone. If you do end up trying, only join for a month. You can get to know whoever you want to know during that time and not waste all your money. Also, many of these guys are on several dating websites at once so there's no use wasting money going on several different ones at once. I did that and wasted alot of money. I'm very sorry for that now. I hope you'll decide not to get into the online dating scene.

Online dating is like buying a meat online. You wouldn't buy a steak online because you don't know what it looks like. Sometimes, you just have to get out there, and try to meet new people. The reality of it all is that too many people lie online, or mispresent themselves. Just go out and try to meet new people. That's all there is to it.

Be careful about online dating. There was a survey done recently that shows that 35% of the men on singles sights are married. I believe it because my own husband is one of them.

okcupid, hands down! It's way more about finding smart, fun people than just random hookups and bootycalls. It also lets you take a bunch of tests and get matches based on other people's answers compared to your own. I've met a really nice guy from there and my best friend is with her boyfriend of two years that she met on that site!
http://www.okcupid.com , I highly recommend it!
