It's fine to do that.
I also feel the "helicopter" is a good move in front of the girlfriend. This move is accomplished after coming out of a hot shower... you walk innocently towards your girlfriend with your towel wrapped around your waist, then by surprise you throw the towel away and rotate your hips such that your flaccid member spins in a helicopter blade fashion -- simultaneously, you make "woo! woo!" noises.

It is not okay to do that in front of your girlfriend or wife. To me it looks ridiculous and disrespectful. How would you feel if your wife or girlfriend were to scratch her boobs or bottom in front of you? When that happens to me then I go to another room and take care of business.I once had an uncle who would do that in front of my sister and me when we were kids. I had always thought that it looked stupid. My dad would never have done anything like that in front of my sister and me.

You can ask your girlfriend to help you, so as to avoid an unsightly gesture and since she will gladly help out.
If you are with your wife, you better scratch yourself...you KNOW she isn't going to help you.

if she loves you, she'll understand. i was doing it once and my friend (girl) noticed and said something. it is just more polite to not do it in front of them.
