Christians believe that Jesus is the ONLY saviour.

Muslims believe that God is the ONLY saviour.

How do you as a Christian feel about this?

I thought this question was for both Christians AND Muslims and yet you asked only Christians for their opinion.

Muslims don`t believe there is any saviour for them.
they will be saved from HellFire according to their deeds, and how much successful they were in earning God`s Mercy.
There`s no saviour system in islam..... people are fully responsible for their deeds. Only and only this system can spread good in the world ... if people take full responsibility of their actions, instead of taking a prophet as their servant, bearing all their burden.... sorry no offense but thats what it looks like.
Some people On the Day of Judgement will be chosen to intercede on behalf of some believers... but this will all be chosen by God on that day and this also only those believers who have alot of good deeds and only few wrong-doings...... can say alot about this topic...

Christian believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior. Jesus is God. Muslims believe other wise. Jewish believe the Savior has not arrived. So on and So on....

How do I feel about that ... Well I have faith that I am correct and they are mislead. I love them and pray for them. If they wish to know more about Jesus that is great and I will talk to them about it. If they don’t I respect that.

Well you did not ask me as a Muslim but i am free to answer, i am not trying to offend.

I feel for Christians to believe that Jesus is the only Savior is there prerogative. I'm not trying to change there minds or tell them what to believe. They are free as am i. I respect Christians and know many.

Jesus's life was devoted to helping all the underdogs, the downtrodden, the sick, the outcasts by joining them into one big family of brothers and sisters to help each other through life. A friend of mine, who just recently read the Koran, says it basically says that Alla wants the same. All religions "authorize" socially and morally acceptable behavior, so just because they use a different name, doesn't make the beliefs incompatible. After all, the ultimate message of both religions, is to not kill each other... but some people interpret the Bible (and Koran) to mean not kill each other "of the same tribe".... inferring it is OK to kill members of other tribes. True, there's a lot of killing going on in the Old Testiment. Jesus's teaching are all New Testiment teachings, which basically "supercede" the OT rules, saying the only NEW rule is to love and forgive each other!!! THESE TEACHINGS ARE NOT INCOMPATIBLE AND ALL THESE SHEEPLE NEED TO STOP BEING LED INTO WAR UNDER FALSE PRETENSES. "Why can't we all just get along?" -Rodney King, Los Angeles

I am not sure about what you say about what Muslims believe. I would not put it like that.

We are all responsible for how we live this life on earth. Allah (swt) is all forgiving, but only if we repent (called Tawba in Arabic) and resolve with sincerity not to repeat our sin again. There are also different stages in the religious life where one's sins are wiped clean and it is Allah (swt) that does this. So is that what you mean by saviour?

There is nothing in Islam that corresponds to the Christian view of Christ dying for all our sins. We must take personal responsibility for them and personal steps in order to have them forgiven, there is no intervener. I think that is different.

But despite this difference I think that the basic quality of forgiveness is there in both.

Peace and Blessings,

Imam Salim

The Bible calls God our Savior, too. Not because Jesus is God, but because God is the author of salvation. God is the One who **sent** Jesus.

John 3:16: "For GOD so loved the world, that HE gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (King James Version)

Therefore, the apostle Paul wrote: "Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Savior, **and** Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope." -- 1 Timothy 1:1, KJV

Ultimately, salvation is the grand purpose of God. That's why Jesus also said: "No man cometh unto the Father, but by me." -- John 14:6, KJV

The Father is the goal; Jesus is the Way.

Jesus is the only way of salvation because He is the only One who can pay our sin penalty (Romans 6:23). No other religion teaches the depth or seriousness of sin and its consequences. No other religion offers the infinite payment of sin that only Jesus Christ could provide. No other “religious founder” was God become man (John 1:1,14) – the only way an infinite debt could be paid. Jesus had to be God so that He could pay our debt. Jesus had to be man so He could die. Salvation is available only through faith in Jesus Christ! “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

Jesus said, "Unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins." (John 8:24)

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)

Jesus said, "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 10:33)

"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5)

My feeling about anyone who denys that Jesus Christ as the savior is sorrow, worry, and a loving concern. I wish all would be saved, but how can they be if they reject "the way, the truth, and the life"?
