There are other forms of NOx, out there in our atmosphere, but N2 is the primary constituent of the air that we breathe.

I do not think you are stupid.

Not knowing something doesn't make someone stupid, if that were the case then everyone's stupid.

There are several nitrogen oxides (NOx's), often it's used as a generic term to describe the nitrogen oxides resulting from combustion.

NO is nitric oxide (or nitrogen monoxide)
N2O is nitrous oxide (or dinitrogen oxide or dinitrogen monoxide)
NO2 is nitrogen dioxide
N2O3 is dinitrogen trioxide (or nitrogen (III) oxide)
N2O4 is dinitrogen tetroxide
NSO5 is dinitrogen pentoxide

When we measure the components of the atmopshere each one is measured separately. Nitrogen is by far the largest component and comprises 78.1% of the atmosphere. The other nitrogen oxides (when they're in gaseous form) make up just a tiny proportion of the atmosphere - nitrous oxide for example is just a mere 0.000027%. They're like the proverbial drop in the ocean compared to nitrogen itself.

Let us look at our atmosphere make up.
20.9 % oxygen the minimum is 19.5%
Nitrogen is 789% and has a very important place like our oxygen back up . If u bombard nitrogen with alpha particles it will trans mutate into oxygen. Some of the particles in the solar winds is alpha particles.
Then that bad green house gas is 1.1%
