Though they have wills, the angels are, like all creatures, subject to the will of God. Good angels are sent by God to help believers (Hebrews 1:14). Here are some activities the Bible ascribes to angels:

A. They praise God (Psalm 148:1,2; Isaiah 6:3).

B. They worship God (Hebrews 1:6; Revelation 5:8-13).

C. They rejoice in what God does (Job 38:6-7).

D. They serve God (Psalm 103:20; Revelation 22:9).

E. They appear before God (Job 1:6; 2:1).

F. They are instruments of God's judgments (Revelation 7:1; 8:2).

G. They bring answers to prayer (Acts 12:5-10).

H. They aid in winning people to Christ (Acts 8:26; 10:3).

I. They observe Christian order, work, and suffering (1 Corinthians 4:9; 11:10; Ephesians 3:10; 1 Peter 1:12).

J. They encourage in times of danger (Acts 27:23,24).

K. They care for the righteous at the time of death (Luke 16:22).

Here Christians and Muslims agree. It was all part of God's amazing plan. Angels were created before mankind. Now, if I was an Angel I wouldn't want to sit around doing nothing, so it would be a good idea for God to use me as a Messenger to his human creations. Putting humour aside, no-one can know God's eternal purposes, but Angels are certainly used by Him.

Love is not new. After all, what moved Jehovah to begin creating? It was not that he was lonely and needed companionship. Jehovah is complete and self-contained, lacking nothing that someone else might supply. But his love, an active quality, naturally moved him to want to share the joys of life with intelligent creatures who could appreciate such a gift. “The beginning of the creation by God” was his only-begotten Son. (Revelation 3:14) Then Jehovah used this Master Worker to bring all other things into existence, starting with the angels. (Job 38:4, 7; Colossians 1:16) Blessed with freedom, intelligence, and feelings, these mighty spirits had the opportunity to form loving attachments of their own—with one another and, above all, with Jehovah God. (2 Corinthians 3:17) Thus, they loved because they were loved first.

Angels are imaginary. There is no proof that they exist. If you believe in Angels why not believe in Genie (Jinns) who can grant wishes, Santa Claus with a flying sledge, leprecons, Tooth Fairy, Ghosts, Goblin etc.

Who decided angels were made to help God? You are making an assumption already.

Angels worship God. They have no free will or powers.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

To my understanding of Angels, they are servants and messengers of God. and your right, God does not need anyones help. But think about this, If God created us in His image, don't you think he gets lonely too. It's not that He needs our help, But He sure would like volunteers just so he doesn't have to do everything Himself. That sure would be boring and If I were God I sure would feel unappreciated. wouldn't you? I would want to help God just because of who He is. Kind of like when your at Grandma's and she is making cookies, and you want to help. She really doesn't need your help, she can do it all herself. But isn't it fun when you volunteer and help, Not only do you get rewarded for helping but it brings a smile to Grandma's face. makes her happy to have you around.. Well since we are in God's image, I think He is like that. Food for thought.
