Well, here's what I'm doing. I bought an electric car. Yes, really.
*
A couple years ago I spotted an electric car for sale on eBay. On a whim, I bought it - it only cost me $2000. It took another couple thousand to fix up the rust and replace the batteries (it's quite old, from 1981.)
*
But now I drive it to and from work every day. It gets about 4 miles to the kilowatt-hour, and there is a special off-peak electric rate available here for charging (overnight) of only 3 cents per KWH. So that's less than ONE PENNY per mile!
*
Why is electricity so much cheaper than gas? Because electric cars are several times more efficient than gas vehicles. This also means that more miles can be driven on less fuel - and far less pollution per mile is created (even when grid electricity comes from dirty fuel.)
*
It does freeway speeds, and looks and handles like a normal car. The battery pack is good for 20,000 miles, and costs $800 to replace, so that's another 4 cents per mile. Total cost of driving, 5 cents per mile - way cheaper than gas.
*
And there's almost no maintenance! The electric motor has only one moving part - there's no oil changes, no filters, timing belts, spark plugs, coolant, none of that stuff. My motor still has all the original parts from 1981 - it has never needed service!
*
I made a webpage - a picture of my car is at the top. Here's some info on how to find inexpensive electric cars:

POSITIVE ACTIONS
if you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to slowdown the destructive processes

reduce carbon emisions, and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials, aerosol cans, burning rubbish, industrial chimneys, powerplants etc.

the capture of carbon and the production of water and assist the aquiferous manta.

the world bank pays large subsidies for reforrestation to capture carbon and the best tree for this is the Pawlonia

Waterharvesting projects ,such as millions of small dams.to redirect over ground waterflows from the rains into the ground to supply subteranian water supplies.

the protection of existing forrests.

stop building more highways, urban planning to include vegetation stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there which now has become possible thanks to the internet.

education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.

education on environmental awareness
education on family planning to curb over´populaion

Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals or sustainability and soil management.

more environmental or land ,design to prevent bush fires, such as--fire breaks

,more dams.regulations and control for public behaviour

alternative effeciant public transport to discourage the use of the internal conbustion engine

recicling wastes,limit water use

here are a 100 more ways

Umm...cool down the sun. We humans can't do anything about it. Think about how huge this Earth is, and how long it's supported life, through enormous volcanic eruptions, meteor impacts, etc. It is not fragile. Driving cars won't do anything. I encourage you to research both sides in depth for yourself, but don't start with the tv, lol.

Conserve energy.

Develop alternative sources of energy; nuclear, solar, wind, biofuels.

Develop ways to capture CO2 from the air.

This is a big problem, we need all our tools, there's no one answer.
