What do starving people from 3rd world countries think of people suffering with bulimia or anorexia?

I wouldn't think people in the third world are very aware of these conditions and their reaction really isn't important to be honest...sorry if that sounds cruel and perhaps i am biased coming from someone who has an eating disorder. But yoru question implies that it's all about the food...because yoru comparing our wasting food, to them not having any...but eating disorders are about much more than food, it can be about having low self esteem, depression, possible past abuse....it's a coping mechanism for many. It can often be about being skinny or having weight issues, obviously but it's not the whole picture and it's when people assume that it is, that incorrect assumptions are made. I am sure there is situations that go on in my countries and indeed in the "3rd world" that we wouldn't approve of either really..but no one can judge anyone else because they don't have a right, especially if they haven't experience what the other person is going through.

This question is only going to get opinion. There is really no telling unless all the armies of the world went up against each other. Which we all do not want. Even then the country that won could have had a lot of luck along the way. Or better yet did have a lot of luck because luck is a big factor in winning wars. It is luck and circumstantial. I mean look at what happen to Russia when they tried to defeat the middle east. All the middle east needed was those stinger missiles and they took out the Russians. Now if the middle east would have invaded Russia they would have got killed.

The starving people would not even know such conditions even exist.
Isn't that already telling about how wierd and unnatural bulimia and anorexia is? Only in countries with too much food do people get guilty eating. Maybe we should send the bulimic and anorexic people to the 3rd world countries. This way they'll fit right in and they don't have to eat (or be guilty about it) since there is nothing to eat in the first place. Might just help them get over their issues.

I have no idea, you won't find someone in a third world country on here. I know though that anorexia is very rare in countries that are not plentiful in food, which is sadly ironic.

Do u know? what is Bulimia,in it one eats too much due to some reasons which can also be psychological,in anorexia nervosa one is frightened of eating,b'coz he think ,by eating his weight will gain ,besides this,starving people basically poor,they do not earn adequate money,sometimes they are not educated,they live on others pity,so i think they would not know what is anorexia,or bulimia is,mostly high society people catch both diseases,b'coz of high level tension.......

I'll bet that most haven't heard of it, and the majority of the ones who have were either outraged or completely shocked and might not really understandwhy anyone would do that.

"Are you stupid? Don't throw up that perfectly good food, idiots", that's what they would say. People need to stop idolizing skinny models. I like my girls with some meat on their bones, it's only natural. Not obese, that's a different problem.

they would probably think that these people are self centred prats who if they thought more of other people instead of thinking of themselves so much they wouldn't have a problem in the first place

What all of these people need to do is to pray to God to say thank you for their food, have faith that they deserve it because they are alive and eat it without worrying about what tomorrow may bring.
