I have a habit of skipping meals.
Time being, I have a huge headache for only having one meal today.
I tend to feel guilty if I have two or more meals.
I know, 5 or so small meals a day is the healthy thing to do.
But my question is, whether you know for sure or it's just your opinion, is it healthier to have three meals a day that are slightly unhealthy (how unhealthy are things like..frozen corndogs, or sandwiches anyway? that's all i can find around here, I know they're not the worst but I don't feel best eating them), or do you think someone would be better off eating only one meal a day, same amount of unhealthiness?

Note:
I'm not basing my diet on any answers, I just want to know peoples' opinions.

I totally agree with the rest....not eating at all is so unhealthy.
Eating three regular meals a day and light snacks in between is the ideal healthy balance thing to our body. But living in this world today, not everyone could stick to that regime most of the time. When you do consume some unhealthy food, it is better off than not eating at all or skip meals as it does give you energy and not totally deprive you off certain vitamins and nutrients.
Guilty conscience would certainly set in later...lol...why not enjoy the moment and you could always balance it up with work out...exercise, supplements and more intake of water; get enough rest/sleep.

Your friend probably gained 3 pounds because she is gaining muscle mass. However, the more muscle mass you have the more calories you burn in a day. So, expect to see her start losing weight pretty soon. It sounds weird, but that's how the human body works. Of course, it depends on the size of the meals she is eating. Eating 6 meals a day doesn't mean eating six 800 calorie meals. It means doing portion and calorie control and making sure you exercise to utilize the energy. Keep the six meals small. It's ok to spread out your daily calories, in fact this is what keeps your metabolism working all the time to burn fat. Best of luck.

Skipping meals is very unhealthy as is having one meal a day. Stick with the three meals and try to find things that are a bit healthier.

Not eating is very unhealthy, it throws your blood sugar into crisis, it's bad for your body, it makes your body think you're starving so you go into starvation mode and hold onto every bit of fat. It can change your fat cells permanently. So, it's best to eat, even if it's not healthy food. Better yet, learn to shop for healthy food and take it with you. Sandwiches are not unhealthy. I think it's worse to go without eating.

#1- You get that aweful headache
#2- No energy
#3- When you finally do eat, you usually over-eat
#4- When you starve your body, when you do eat, it conserves the food instead of using it for energy.
