Does anyone have any idea of how expensive clothes are in New Zealand? Do they have cheaper clothing stores eg Primark and if so how much would cheap underwear cost? [Asking as am going travelling there soon and want to know if its cheaper to buy some stuff here and take it or buy it when I'm there]

Cheap places to buy clothes...The Warehouse (or the Big red shed as some people call it) its a great store and a religous experience for some people!!......
Cheap underwear is probalby only a few dollars... wesite to have a look at what they offer.
Some other places maybe worth a look would be Farmers. Some bigger places have Kmart...and other cheaper places (not necessarily underwear is Millers. Costs maybe from 12-30 for many core items of clothing for many clothes in these places (but obviously some places have more expensive stuff)

Um we are a season out of date coz we are a season behind...literally.....tie he trends starts in the northern hemisphere (say spring) and we use it 6 months later in our spring!! WE are not THAT far behind.....

There is nothing in NZ that compares to Primark (Primarni!) or Asdas in quality for price. The Red Shed is cheap but quality not as good as Primark/Asdas. Buy your undies in the UK !!
NZ clothing in the cheaper end of the market tend to be 1 season behind the UK.
If you are after undies keep an eye out for the Bendon factory shops in NZ. They sell the Elle McPherson range and are great buy when on special.

You can pick up out of/last season cheaper clothes from Factory Outlet.

Any time I leave to NZ Auss or Canada I take my flight bag only outbound. I buy a semi decent cargo bag and my next two years supplies of shirts trousers etc. I end up paying $1 for every £1 I would have had to spend in the UK, at worst. Iyou are lucky and hit the sales then you can get £2 or £3 worth for the local dollar.

Buy clothing here at the Warehouse if you want reasonable quality clothing at good prices.
A lot is Chinese imports, which leaves you with more money to spend on good clothing you may find in your travels.

Don't bring suitcases full of clothing here, buy what you need and a cheap suitcase if needed to take back home.

just like any other country NZ has a range of clothing shops and prices from the cheap to the costly and if going in winter you may need to have a nice warm coat to get into when you get off the plane. If you are into site seeing check out the south island, queenstown, westcoast glaciers. it is the most bueatiful place in autum with the chaning trees
