This is the side effects of it, this is a powerful drug!! Yes, I too had mood swings, break out in sweats, where it would be dripping off of me, crying, remember that you follow the dosage exactly the way it is prescribed to you. I hope that you are feeling better soon.

I have taken a form of prednisone before on a couple of different occasions and the last time that I took them I ended up with a lot of problems with infections going back to back to back to back.

Mood swings unfortunately can be common with the use of prednisone but I would recommend getting in touch with your dr to let them know that this problem is occurring and that you want to see what they think about this.

Prednisone can make you happy one minute and sad the next. You will experience extreme hunger and probably sleep disturbances. If taken long enough, you will get what is called a moon face which is swelling from the drug. It will go away once you stop taking it.

Yes I've had ti a few times...Its actually supposed to make you feel better (eg they give it to terminally ill people to make them feel better!)...I often get ravenous (not good for my shape!!) and I have been told they also give it to anorexics to make them eat.....

I have found a site that says this:
Always Notify Doctor:

Rare
confusion , excitement , false sense of well-being
hallucinations (seeing, hearing, or feeling things that are not there) , mental depression
mistaken feelings of self-importance or being mistreated
mood swings (sudden and wide) , restlessness
skin rash or hives

You maybe having a side effect and may want to ring a healthline to check (or go to the Dr) and see if its still ok to continue or go onto another steriod.
