You ask how they are a bad factor?

Well, you shouldn't use nuclear weapons for the same reason why you shouldn't walk into a bar that has 29 armed people and shoot one. A word comes to mind: repercussion!

Not only are nuclear exchanges bad, it's also a question of morality, accountability, and stability.

Only a total jerk would nuke another country because repercussions are sure to follow. I mean, how would I feel if I was sitting here, answering questions, and next thing I know I'm vaporized or worse, vomiting out my insides.

Nuclear weapons are totally indiscriminate of who they kill. Remember that in any war, it is a conflict between the governments, not the people.

i Think that terrorist nation having nuclear weapons is a really bad i don't think i have to go into detail about what they could do with those kinds of weapons, only trusted country's like th U.S or the British or Canada or uh uh maybe the French or the Australians but overall I think if a nation has nuclear weapons they should be used for defense of that country because if we just go around launching nuclear weapons it could lead up to a nuclear holocausts

Because the governments of the world are power drunk bastards that should not be in control of such power they could wipe us all out with the push of a button If everyone would just let everyone else be themselves we wouldnt even think such weapons are needed there are other uses for nuclear power but as weapons humans dont have the self control to handle the responsibility and power.

They shouldn't be used because they kill thousands of Innocent civilians. The after effects can last for years and years afterwords, causing birth defects and disease.
If a nation is at war with another nation, and they want to bomb the hell out of them, they should bomb their military bases and not innocent people's homes.
This would also be a contributor to global warming. And as someone else said, it would set off a chain reaction of more nuclear bombs from the "other side." Eventually the earth would be a smoldering pile of rubble.

... are you kidding?
Nuclear weapons are a great scare factor, but if any nation would launch a nuke it would create a chain reaction. If every country that had nukes launched them, there may not be anything left of this world. Short of that, I guess it's ok.

I'd like to keep my hair, teeth and health should I survive the blast. Who wants some idiot to have the right to blast other humans off the face of the earth and then contaminate the rest of it? Are you kidding?
