I do my best personally to follow the path of Jesus, and being mortal, it is hard. Yet, I stick to Native "Red Road" (the path to the Creator", teachings. I know some really excellent people who are Athiest, and their social responsibility to the Planet and others is Christ like. Meaning, not to claim they copy Jesus, these friends I am generalizeing about, are Christ like as any human being could be.

not personally, but never met a christian who was either. Gandhi wasn't christian, he may come close. I agree with you though, specific dogmatic beliefs are not necessary for living a fulfilling and moral life.

That is just being a good person. There is no Athiest way to act or Christian way to act. Yes, both have stereotypes or Christians have a standard to live by but the only thing that seperates the two are belief in God. What you speak of are good people, religion has nothing to do with it.

I too, have meant people like that, and I ask them if they are Christians, and I get the answer that they don't believe that there is a god, but they do believe there is a higher being..That I don't understand, If God isn't a higher being, then who is?? and they can't answer that. But I do tell them, that they are good, and I have kept them as my friends of course I have tried to get them to come with me to church and some have some have not, some have even found other churches to go to, so it all works out, I do believe that God works in all of us whether we believe in him or not..Some will take a little longer to reach him...We do the best we can and God does to rest. I know and you know that God will never stop his works in all of us!

oh I have known many atheists who exhibit humanistic behaviors that are very Christ like, of course not based on Christ. But still Christ like.

It is impossible for they don't believe in God while Jesus believed. This makes them not able to pray, so not achieving this Christ like behaviour.
Christians are made perfect through our faith in Christ's blood.

Phillip Pullman

And read his novels "His Dark Materials" to get an idea of how the Church is totally evil, and how rebellion against it can be good.

I am always uncertain
about things that we do not believe.
To believe something does not exist,
would you not have to look into it? research
And by looking {researching}, are we not believing it's existence; before denying it?
It confounds me sometimes, !?
We all can agree there is something unexplainable going on here on Earth.......Why are we here???
