I think Christians believe more in the principal of the religion and disregard the inconsistent history part of it. They rely on faith and use that as an argument to whatever you say, something like "we will never understand what God's works mean and what happened, just believe."

I think it's irrational, but they call it faith. *shrug*

Did you really say there were no Christians back then? Acts 11:26, Acts 26:28 and 1 Peter 4:16.

As for Jesus being the Jewish messiah, yes, Jesus was a Jew. What is your definition of a Jew? Jews don't all deny Jesus as the Christ, but most of them do. The messiah was MEANT to save the world from their sins. "And you shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins."

He completed that very thing when He became a living sacrifice at His death.

What are you refering to when you say "he didn't complete any of the tasks that the messiah was meant to do"? Set up an earthly kingdom? Conquer the world? Destroy evil and suffering? Please explain what you mean, because the sole purpose of the messiah was to redeem the lost sheep of His pasture.

Jews decided that the Messiah was going to come as such a warrior kind of person and destroy all their enemies..they did not expect Him to come as He did. It was the jews who interpreted what a messiah was going to do for them. Jews witnessed His healing and other miracles. They witnessed His death and witnessed Him after the resurrection...yet so many did not believe He was the Messiah..simply because He did not come and destroy all their enemies in the way they figured He should.
Of course He did...He paid for every single persons sins so that they may never have to pay the ultimate price for them..Yes He paid for even those who killed Him....for those who were with Him, walked with Him, saw what He did etc..
Now they still wait for that messiah to come the first time.
He was messiah for Jew and gentile..for everyone.
I believe you are mistaken too in saying there were no christians back then..a christian was simply someone who followed Christ..so yes, there were christians back then..However Jesus never called them that...
I notice your tone in the question with the capital letters in those places. Believe as you wish..Jesus is enough Saviour for every single person that has even been on this earth....He died so that anyone who believes in him and follows Him might have life. Nowhere does it ever say He is just for the Jewish people.
So many of them denied Him and continue to do so...

"He didnt complete any of the tasks that the messiah was MEANT to do"

Um,yes he did.He fulfilled the Messianic prophecies.First time he came was the suffering servant of Isaiah 53-next time He will be the reigning King.

Rrefute these Messianic prophecies that Jesus fulfilled:

God didn't create religions. Of course there were no Christians before Christ. There were no Jews before Judah. We are God's people and Christians are referred to as Christian because the accept the atonement Christ provided.
He fulfilled the prophesies of the Messiah but he isn't finished he will return to reign over the world for one thousand years. The day of the lord, The Sabbath, The kingdom of God, The Millennium

THE JEWS DENIED HIS TEACHING,SO HE WENT TO THE GENTILES,THEY ARE THE REASON HE WAS CRUCIFIED.
Joh:3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh:3:17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh:3:18: He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Joh:3:19: And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Joh:3:20: For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Joh:3:21: But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
HE SAID IN THE CROSS,FATHER FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY KNOW WHAT THEY DO.

i asked this not too long ago, if Jews back then didn't buy it why are you surprised that some of us still don't? I got mostly political answers, they had power in the church and were afraid to give it up. Even for someone who was God incarnate, when they dedicated their lives to their religion. And they really believe he fulfilled all the prophecies, you'd have to get specific to counter them.

The New Testament says otherwise. I'm saved and on my way to Heaven because of Jesus' death on the cross. I think the Jews are the ones who are wrong, no offense.

I agree. How can anyone be sure of something that happened that long ago. Anyways, we should all really just get along and we would be better off for it. Christians are a little fanatical though, as everyone and there mom knows.

Because every religion claims that they are right and the other religions are wrong. God has never named the true religion but the religions have and they always pick themselves.
