Cumbria is quite a big county - if you were to drive to Kendal in the south of the county it would take 5 hours 10 minutes and be 307 miles. If you went to Keswick in the north it would take 5 hours 43 minutes and be 339 miles.

Times and distances are from Google Maps - http://maps.google.co.uk/

Visit www.multimap.com

Click the 'directions' tab at the top and enter your start and destination address (or just town)

You'll get directions and an estimated journey time.
