i don't know how to conjugate er ir and ar verbs...its too hard, and i don't understand my teacher (she's stupid). i needed to translate that "went to school in 2006" for my timeline project...so i put down"volo la escuela superior en 2006" the problem for me is to conjugate the word "volver" i used the er verbs and put down an o at the end, but then it just came out to something that doesn't make sense...
if someone know about this conjugating stuff plz help me out, but don't give out dictionary sites cuz they don't work word for word.

volvió a la escuela en el 2006.

volver (in this case Past tense)

yo volví
tú volviste
él/ella/usted volvió
nosotros volvimos
vosotros volvisteis
ellos/ustedes volvieron

well actually "went" which in the past tense would be "fui" in spanish is a special case
ur phrase would be translated as "fui a la escuela en el dos mil seis"

or you could cay attended school which would be " atendi el colegio en el dos mil seis"
either way makes sense and sounds good in spanish
now the past tense is tricky if thats what ur trying to use

ar verbs endings would change into e,aste, o, amos,
ir/er verbs would be i,iste,io,imos

therefore u would drop the ar/ir/er and add those endings
ex. comer -yo comi, tu comiste, el/ella comio, nosotros comimos

i know its all confusin but if u need if this wasnt the right tense u wanted or u need more help just lemme know ;-P

There is a rule for MOST irregular verbs with an "o" in the root: replace the "o" for "ue" e.g.
volar = vuelo.
volver = vuelvo,
dormir = duermo.

Other verbs like:
Comer = como,
tomar = tomo, and others keep the "o" because they are REGULAR verbs

In most Spanish English dictionaries you will find usually in Italics and parenthesis, morir (ue) v intr. die, ....

volver, volvo (present), volví (past tense), hé volvido (present perfect)
volver = come back

en 2006, io estaba estudiante.
en 2006, ya fui en la escuela...
