While thinking or doing a job concentrate only to that job or thought. In case you think different things at a time you may forget the main items.
Develop a habit of positive thinking and develop a habit to keep the things in aproper place.
Like returning from office you will keep the purse, keys, files if any arrange in the sequence and keep the things in the same place everyday.
While in office decide what is the routine for the day and jot down
the items one by one and while leaving the office find out what are the pending and why,
You develop this formula and I am sure you will get the result.
One more thing before leaving the bed try to recapitulate what are the routine for the day and try to memorise the same time and again. All the best = Good luck

Heaps of great answers here… I was not the one who asked the question but I have learned a lot from you.

p p, how is your diet? Are you eating the right stuff? If not, you could increase your intake of some vitamins and minerals, like folic acid, B6, Niacin, E, C, selenium, and Coenzyme Q10; they're good for your memory.

'Your Miracle Brain' by Jean Carper has more on it.

This is a siple question but tough to answer. After completing your work, spend 15 mins to do DHYANAM/meditation. Do pranayama or a breathing exercise for 5 minutes. Calm yourself and go to sleep. Follow this regularly no matter wherever you go for 6 to 8 months. You will notice the change. As a member of MENTAL STRESS REMOVAL ORGANISATION, NEW DELHI, INDIA I suggest you follow this advice. If you dont take it as an advice take it as a piece of information from your dearest friend.

A simple practise.

Ask somebody to dictate a two digit no. You write down it in reverse, then a 3 digit no and so on.
Practise for few days and you will find the change.
Rule No 1: Don't write the no dictated and reverse it.
Rule No 2: Don't write how they dictate (from last to first)

If they dictate it as 2435, after dictation you should able to write 5342.
