Yes, I've heard of dogs attacking new children in the family out of jealousy, as they were the center of attention before.
Animals are sentient. They may not understand the world as we do, but they are intelligent and aware.

yes. I have one little dog that is very jealous. She will not let any other dogs around me. She is my baby. I guess that's why they have the old saying, "A mans best friend is his dog" My dog can sense when I am upset. She knows when I am happy. She knows when I am sad, because that is when she refuses to leave my side. I personally think dogs and cats are more like humans than any other animals, because they can relate to our feelings.

canines can get jealous incredibly. My canines are jealous of my cats because of the fact my kinfolk pay the utmost interest to them. i'm not sure approximately undesirable outcomes, however the factor is my canines get indignant at very almost somewhat everyone interior the homestead after being ignored of interest for an prolonged time. It bit me and something of my siblings...

I had a dog once that just picked up the new puppy and literally shook the **** out of him. Poor little thing. We had to take the puppy back.
