Generalizations are always wrong.

Truth is, you do not know whether "most Catholics" are "liars" or "cheats" and that they "think nothing of it".

You are judging what is in their hearts. You shouldn't do that because you are incapable of that. Only God can into each of our hearts, and you are no less the sinner than "most Catholics".

Some Catholics lie and/or cheat. I mean, let's be real. However, let's not ignore the fact that Catholics are not the only liars and cheats in the world. I find it interesting that you did not provide even one example of a lie or a cheat allegedly committed by a Catholic..... what's more, prove that they all thought nothing of it.

We're all sinners. And we each other's help not to sin. Admonish the sinners when you see them sin, instruct them when they plea ignorance - not from a pedestal built on the sand of self-righteousness but one built upon a rock of Christ-righteousness.

Matthew 7:3 - why do you see the splinter that is in your brother's eye but not notice the log in your own eye?

The problem may be in a loss of a sense of sin and its effects that God has warned us about. It may come from the devil himself to lead people astray or it may also come from the negative influences that a person has grown up with or it may be that we just lie or cheat without thinking much of it. It is a phenomenon that is not limited to Catholics alone. All religions are good as long as that religion talks about love for God, honesty and living a morally upright life sometimes the followers fail to live up to the teachings of the faith that they adhere to so it causes trouble and scandal. To be truthful in word and deed always is hard, it is an ongoing process and no one can say that he or she has not lied or cheated in the past or even now.

Do you know all the Catholics in the world?

Let me tell you if you are cheated by a Catholic businessman or employer, take it to the Bishop.
He will have it investigated. He just won't just act on charges, but if he find that the person is guilty if that person values his sacramental life within the Catholic Church, he will find himself on his knees for quite a while. He will also have to make restitution to the best of his ability.
I don't think you can say that about too many other religions.

The Catholic Church takes moral ethics in business and in professionalism very very seriously.

Now, there are Catholics who have done gross wrongs like people of all faiths. All of us have at one time failed. All churches are for sinners not just for saints. Usually the person who considers himself a saint isn't close to it.

Why do people think it's okay to generalize and stereotype people?

I'm Catholic. Yeah I tell white lies -- I don't "think nothing of it". I repent for them. And I don't cheat, ever. And I'm sure there's plenty more Catholics out there who don't "lie and cheat and think nothing of it."

Do you know most Catholics? That would be amazing, cause I never met you. I'm sure I would remember. I am Catholic and I take my sinning to heart. Meaning I confess and work really hard to change and do what is right by God and my fellow humans.

That's logic.
Do you know most Catholics?
Could it be that Catholicism is the largest Christian denomination in the world? Nah, that can't have anything to do with it.

Because that's how their religion was started. The folks in charge way back when just did what they want with the bible...cut here, edit there... all to manipulate the masses... That is the example the Catholics are following.

I sincerely apologize for any of my Catholic brothers and sisters whose behavior was not Christ-like. This kind of thing causes many people to further distance themselves from the Church. Please keep everyone in your prayers so that we can all grow closer to Christ.

God bless.
