One cup equals 16 tablespoons.
One tablespoon equals 3 teaspoons.

from a cube of butter, it says
8 tablespoons = 1/2 cup so
16 tablespoons = 1 cup

Everyone already answered but a good website for adjusting recipes is www.allrecipes.com. Pick a recipe then choose the number of servings you are preparing and it will adjust the recipe. Does metric also.
