How long would it take to get down the basics of MS Excel?

Question

I need to know it in order to apply for a Master's program in Library Science. I know how to do MS Word (been doing it for years). I did a beginner's course on MS Excel but forgot most of it.

And on that same note.....how long would it take to master MS PowerPoint? I've used it before but it's been a long time since I last used it (I have WinXP home edition and I don't have any of the cool MS programs). Is it possible to purchase these programs separately on Amazon.com and will they be compatible with my WinXP home edition thingy?

Fiften days it will take you learn the basics with about learning hours of about four hrs a day with a computer in hands. they are compatable with the winxp
