What did you think of it? I say good on those parents and especially the kids for having the courage to live like they feel. It must be so tough.

I could just cry for those children. The teasing from peers must be awful. Their schools should teach the students the truth about what the child is going thru [age appropriate] and monitor the child so they don't get bullied. I am such a girly girl, if I was in a guy's body I would freak! That's what they live every day. Bless them. I hope they get all the support and help they need.

i think the media and the weirdos who promote this are insane, all children say things they don't even know what they are saying half the time. I always played sports and stuff like the guys didn't want to be one, alot of kids are getting the wrong ideas from tv and the acceptance we are supposed to have for gays and different lifestyles, no child has the capacity to make a decision like that and these stupid parents push them and allow this to happen. Society is getting way too weird and the media loves to push it outg there. never heard of all this weird crap in the 50's 60's 70's not til we had our gay pride bs start, and encouraging people to be whatever they want to be.

Stage 7 autogenic discharges (a reaction to autogenic training) includes transsexual behaviour as well as unrestrained sexual and violent behaviour. I think it's the kind of thing that can happen in therapist's offices if they advocate for this sort of behaviour by telling their clients to look within themselves all the time for the answers. People tend to hypnotise regularly. (You can't hypnotise anybody else. You can only hypnotise yourself.) I think that autogenic (it means "self-originated") training means that you are your own hypnotist. This might be because you don't trust people or because you are training yourself for behaviour that you think other people wouldn't approve of. I find the second option difficult to believe because I think that all bad behaviour occurs in groups, whether the people are together or spread out. There's always somebody who will help you out no matter what your interest is. I think that suicide can be thought of as being a period of autogenic training gone wrong, perhaps acting on suggestions that occurred a while ago. There are societal attitudes that tend to moralise against being hypnotised by those around you. (Symptoms of hypnosis can be very similar to flirting!) It might be considered more moral to live your own "dreams."

I really think that transsexual behaviour is a function of the environment of the children in terms of whether they are being allowed to act silly sometimes, zone out sometimes, copy other people sometimes, have silly crushes sometimes etc. which are all features of behaviour where you are hypnotising over others. These things might be warning signs, but at least if people are hypnotising in groups, there could be more chance that problems will be evened out because of social behaviour.

I agree that it's just absurd for the parents to just let their kids do whatever. Kids have parents because they are not wise enough about life to make sound decisions. So for a parent to let a kid make such an important decision is just ridiculous. "When I was a child, I thought as a child."

I think letting your minor child live like they are a different gender is just ridiculous. These kids are going to be traumatized.

I think its rather silly to assume that because a kid says something that it is pure, unassailable truth.

There are other possibilities.
