I am not a religion or a belief system. I may practice a religion or adhere to a belief system, but I am not either of them.
One of the things in which I firmly believe is that language is the material with which we think. If we are sloppy with our language we will be sloppy with our thinking. If you want to communicate something, take the time and trouble to do it with a bit more care.

I am a Sufi, a practitioner of Mystical Islam, yet at 62, I am well versed in all the spiritual traditions. I was raised a Christian and followed Christian tradition for 36 years. I found shortcomings in the individuals that called themselves Christian and the same with the leaders of the faith. I wanted to know about all the other so-called religions and found them to all draw their faith from similar roots. I love my fellow human beings, yet so many are stuck in rut and will perish in that same rut. I chose the Sufi tradition because of a teacher that was in excess of 100 years of age. This teacher found me, and told me that I was in need of repair. This old man that I call my teacher is no longer alive, having passed on some twenty years ago. I am most fortunate to have met such a man of "Wisdom". My faith in God is firm and at this point in my life, I have no need to convert anyone regardless of their
religious preference to my tradition which is Sufism.
May that One God protect us one and all in the perilous years lying before us!

I am Christian, with the Baptist beliefs, I work in the mission field of the Apache, and Navajo Nations.
I mentioned that I was Baptist, but I don't push the Baptist Doctrines or any other denomination on any one. I just tell them about Jesus, and give Bibles to the ones that don't have one. My wife travels with me, and we have made some good friends.

All sorts of folks are on here. I have seen every religion and also non-religious. I am a Christian, a High Church Episcopalian, or what some would call Anglo-Catholic.
