very true. Would you want to wear a gun necklace , if a gun killed your loved one.I have seen a sword necklace someone was selling and it had a tiny sword hidden in the tiny sword case.I wouldn't wear that either. That is a symbol of death.

I'll just breeze over your glaringly obvious limitations of the English language and tell you this. Jesus wasn't the only man who was crucified back then. That was the standard method execution in those days (hey...you learned something!). People who wear crosses are doing so in respect to Jesus because He died on that cross. Somewhere along the line, the cross became a Christian symbol. Deal with it.

You can try to twist things around all you want but, please, do us all a favor and attempt to form a rational thought before you try to bash anyone. Your attempts are pretty funny. Funny in the sad, short bus kind of way.

You could wear a tomb on your neck, LOL, its differant for me when I was a Mormon, it was strickly forbidden to wear a cross and then tell people that I believed in jesus and the healing of the cross, there were no crosses in the church either. The LDS church told us what we could and could not do, so to be a christian and be able to wear a cross, does not make me think it is an idol or I am wearing his torture devise around my neck, it just like wearing that band around your arm that has the letters "WWJD" on it. Its just to remind me of who I am, instead of wanting to go off on people when they cut me off in traffic.

The word cross comes from the Latin crux. Explaining Jesus "TORTURE STAKE" can be very detail. I will briefly mention what the Bible say about idolatry.

1Cor. 10:14: "My beloved ones., flee from idolatry." )An idol is and image or symbol that is an object of intense devotion, veneration,or worship.)

Ex.20:4,5 JB "You shall not make yourself a carved image or any likeness of anything in heaven or on earth beneath or in the waters under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them."

From this we can see that the wearing of a cross would not be in harmony with God's requirements.

Yes, dying on a cross is a very painful way to die. I could not even imagine. However, the cross, I wear is so important, because Christ Jesus is no longer on that cross, but he died and rose again and lives.

If dying on a cross is sick and twisted, then how sick are the people who nailed Him there?
The cross is a Christian religious icon because originally his body was also carved onto a cross. Then as art evolved the icon became an abstract representation of the crucified Christ.
It is a visual reminder of what He suffered for all of us.

They wear crosses so that they can constantly be reminded that he died for their sins. So that they can sin as all humans do, can, and should.
