Okay enough is enough. Poligamy is not practiced by any active member of the LDS church. They would not be allowed to a member. There are fundamentalist sects that branched off in the mid-late 1800's (which by the way is when polygamy was banned from the church) that still practice it unlawfully today. Unfortuantley these fundamentalist give us a bad name and make the impression that the streamlined church LDS participates in these same acts. Nothing could be more untrue. I mean if your gonna come up with reasons to ridicule us, at least let's keep it recent, i'll even settle for 100 years old. I mean how can you judge me based on something that was practiced over 100 years ago. At least come up with something new...this one has been beat to death. If you don't agree with our doctrine fine. No one is forcing you to, no one is asking you to even like me personally, but seriously do you think that bringing up polygamy is going to defer anyone who knows anything about it. You are preying on the naive in hopes to stir contention. I thought Jesus gave a commandment about Loving one another, not just people with your same beliefs. And also i think there was something about He beign the only one to judge. If we are all trying to live by His commandments, then why do we so easily forget to follow these ones? Serioulsy, why can't we all just respect other people's beliefs no matter what denomination?

First of all in Big Love they used to be LDS, then they left the church you know this when the husband referring to his frist wife says "She misses the LDS church" then his second wife is part of the FDLS church or some other sect since she is related tro the prophet and they have to pay money on their business to the prophet or people come around harasssing them. Many other Mormon sects still practice polygamy. In my mind so does Hugh Hefner.
Heavenly Father most likely knew that in the end in these LATTER DAYS he would want one man for one wife and vice versa, maybe that is why Adam had one wife. Also it does not take two wives to get one women pregnant, which God was teaching us to multiply the Earth. Honestly no one cares about polygamy, it is gone away with. Next!

Polygamy is old hat, and the rational you've cited is not terribly valid. Now it's illegal in the US.

In 1850s Utah territory, there was no such law, but is was assumed to be a christian cultural taboo against multiple wives. The practice was abandoned about 1890, but some 'hardliners' remained 'faithful', including the Jeffs family.

As for mormons becoming united with christians, hell must freeze over first.

The first part of your question is too silly to answer.
The second part about all churches should be united and wait for the bridegroom I Will comment on. You can actually ask this question to all the religions because they are not the same. If they are the same why are the Baptists not Catholics?
Why are the Catholics not Lutherans? Why are the Born Again not Presbyterians?

So are you saying Abraham is not righteous??? Did God punish Abraham???? Who are you to judge the LDS???

Do not mix your illogical thinking with what is written in the Bible.

Yes, there should be one faith, one church, so what are you? dare to state what your church is, and dare to say your church is the only true church???

Why don't you go ponder what you really know about the Bible, and pray a little more without your pride, maybe then you can learn what God is trying to teach you.

I don't think God ever intended for those men to have more than one wife, they went out of God's will for the desire of children.

The Mormons forgot about adam and one wife. Eve, they claim that Jesus married about three wives on the earth. They believe in Poligamy but don't practise it liek the other mormon church that broke off from them with their own prophet. You can go to Utah and see Brigham Youngs house and even eat in it, and see all the wives rooms and kids rooms.

Who are the prophets to question God's commandments? Read in your bible when God commanded His people to "bring up seed unto Him". You could apply these same questions to those prophets in whom you believe. Answer the question for yourself, then.

You should watch 'Big Love' on HBO. It's about polygamy in Utah.
