I love both, but I prefer a mixture.

I think there is a place for both. However when I go to a contemporary service I usually walk away thinking that that was fun, but I don't feel like I did any worshiping.
If I want to have a spiritual experience, a sense of the sacred and holy. Then I need a more traditional worship service. In the traditional service there is a structure which allows me to give of myself and to receive what God has for me.

Contemporary, as long as it's nothing unbiblical, we don't have to live like we did 100 years ago. The whole "rock music is evil" is hilarious to me. It's just instruments, the lyrics make a song Christian or non Christian. Do people really think God only likes a certain type of music? Many people get caught up in the formalities and "rules" of worship. I know people who don't like people who clap or lift their hands in church, even though there are examples of that all through the Bible. People should be able to worship however they feel, if they prefer to be more tradtional that's fine, but I think many people today, especially younger people, can 't relate to that as well. God loves it when we worship, whether it be old hymns or drums and guitars. It means the same thing whether we are on our knees with our hands folded or dancing and clapping.

"Tradition" is a word that renders me leary,..It usually accompanies,or,paves the way for the "man-made" rules & regs to come into play. I've walked out of a number of churches, just because God made it clear to me that what was being practiced, was not of His will, but that of man's. So, tradition gets a thumbs down,..
I wouln't run to Contempory worship as an alternative to traditional worship, even if it were the only alternative, I question that ,too.
It only has to offer bible based, bible fact as it's doctrine. It's too easy to be led astray when one gets too comfortable in something, no matter what it is.
Give me, the Father,Son,& Holy Ghost every time and I'm Happy, And I"m BLESSED!
God Bless you & your'S !

I prefer contemporary but I really like it when you can take some of the traditional and mix it in with a contemporary style.
Neither is wrong as long as it is God centered.

Traditional as it follows the Bible in my opinion. I don't like this "contemporary" music that so many Christians listen too, its just music w/a Christian message, not really talking about God. The same goes with church you need fire and brimstone sometimes.

Traditional. The Higher the better. Smells and bell and all that. Puts you into a meditative state. I like a folk mass now and then. But this wacky stuff that some Protestant churches are doing now, is for the birds.. rock music is rock music, has no place in church on Sunday.

There is only one way you can worship (traditional), or it will be in vain.
They worship Me in vain, teaching as doctrines the commands of men. (Mark 7:7, HCSB)
I prefer, the type of worship that was authorized by our Lord, Jesus Christ. To me "traditional" worship, is the type of worship that was authorized by our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

I prefer a more traditional Mass. No particular reason, other than it gives me peace to have the time to reflect on what is being said rather than waiting for the next song.
