Try Blistex mint....the mint has a cooling effect on your lips. I carry one with me where ever I go and have them planted all around my house. Apply it as soon as your lips begin to feel chapped...if that's all the time, so be it...and whatever you do, don't lick your lips! It makes them so much worse.

If you can't find Blistex, find something else with mint...the cooling sensation really makes a difference ;)

OK. First it will be OK. I have had chapped lips before and I know how you feel. DO NOT like you lips at all! If you have a little Vaseline put some on your lips modestly. Next maybe you can have you mom or dad go to the store and look for vasline intensive care lip therapy it seems to work pretty well forr me. Now I know how it feels when your lips are on fire AND its going to hurt. so just put the vasiline on and it should help you lips stop being so dry becaus eright know they hurt becaus ethey are dry. I hope this works for you. Let me know!

I rely on Blistex medicated lip ointment. Works very well for me. Drink plenty of water. Chapped lips are more likely to occur when a person is dehydrated. If you don't have the Blistex right now, you could also try applying a thick coat of vasoline or Vicks vapo-rub on your lips tonight. That works pretty well, too.

Treat chapped lips using vaseline and honey or syrup - Mix together equal parts of vaseline and honey or any kind of syrup and apply it to your chapped lips 3 times a day. DO NOT use vaseline by itself. Vaseline is known to rot the skin and discolor your lips making you look like a corpse.

If your lips feel like their on fire, maybe you overexfoliated them or used something irritating (like salicylic acid). Another reason for burning could be a cold sore/fever blister.

Also, increase your intake of good fats like salmon, olives, nuts, etc. These will keep your skin supple and well-moisturized from the inside.

what ever u do DON"T lick ur lips!!!! OK here's a cheap and and 100% guaranteed way to improve day by day. go to any local DRUGS STORE AND BUY a pocket sized jar of petroleum jelly. keep it with u @ all times. put it on when ever the jelly starts to leave ur lips. ur lips will absorb the jelly leaving ur lips softer and less chapped. @ night put the petroleum jelly(vaseline) around ur lips and on them after u have brushed ur teeth. leave it on all night. and repeat every day and keep it in ur pocket or bookbag.

don't panic. if they're really bad chapped, it might take awhile for you to feel any better. just keep applying the stuff from the dermatologist and chapstick or vaseline and drink lots of water.

try vaseline. smear a LOT on at night, and throughout the day, keep your lips moisturized with a conditioning balm or vaseline. chapped lips take a couple days to get rid of so good luck!!! :X

If the stuff that you got from your doctor is not working so then you have to go back to him and tell him that. I use petroleum jelly on my lips during the day and @ night which may help to soothe you until you return to your dermatologist.
