Even though he's healthy and eats regular cat food? I have some left from my other cat, not much, and I would only feed him this this one time.....?

It won't hurt her, but I would just mix it in with what you normally feed her until it is gone.

science diet k/d wont hurt your other cat its got good protein and will only benefit as long as its an adult cat. If you plan to feed k/d long term you should switch gradually mixing the old food with the new. If its just for a few feeds it should be fine. If your cat does get an upset stomach its just due to being use to a different diet and will resolve when back on the normal diet. oh and by the way science diet k/d is not on the recall list it is not made with the same ingredients as other cat foods since it is a special prescription only cat food. Most of the recall was for cuts and gravy canned food only a few brand of dry food and it wasn't science diet prescription food

As long as your feline is healthy it should be okay. Usually changing cats diets is a negative experience when the animal has a sensitive digestive system, is prone to lots of fur balls or has food allergies. Just make sure your cat does not over do it at first...try giving just a 1/4 cup to start and see how they do tonight. Hope this helps =)

It won't do your cat any harm at all to feed your cat the rest of this food this one time.

I really wish people would get their facts straight about this recall business. For one thing, k/d is not a Hills Science Diet, it is one of the prescription diets. For another thing, it was only the m/d that was recalled - and it was VOLUNTARILY recalled.

Hills is safe food, and it's really bugging me that this whole thing is bringing down the reputation of decent animal nutrition companies.

I would not feed my cat or any of my pets anything that even slightly resemble or sounds like the tainted pet food and Science Diet is on the list-since the source they've finally determined is bad wheat etc from China tainted with a bad ingredient or doctored with too much of a protein ingredient that makes the food toxic so I'm not taking any chances and am now giving food strictly from my VET.Since you say only some left I'd be safe and dump it.-certainly would not risk it
