Contact the people at these sites -- some of them are excellent
researchers of genealogy and searching family trees, etc.

Sorry, hon, but you're probably going to have to go to a paid site. That's what I did. ( I started with nothing but my grandmother's name, and was able to find a whole pack of cousins, and trace my family back to before the Revolutionary War).
Suggest you start with a site like Ancestry.com. They'll let you use their records free for 3 days but they'll probably ask for a credit card number.
It's a long shot but you could also try the LDS (Latter Day Saints) genealogy site. They have a huge library of genealogical records and their service is free.
An even longer shot: If you know of any cities where he might have lived, you could try their white pages online. That's free.
And finally, there are sites like Reunion.com where people go to look for long-lost friends and such. I never had any luck there but who knows?
One hint: Lenay is a more unusual name than Michael. I'd search for her first. If she's alive and you find her, maybe she could tell you where he is. Same with Stevenson.
Best of luck, hon. I really hope you find him. And I'd love to hear if you do!

I found my husband's birth family through the help of volunteers in north Florida. If you have any idea where he is (state) or where he was born, I could probably help you more. I think there are people who will search records and things for you for free most anywhere, you just have to know how to find them. If you give more info and Yahoo won't let me answer again, I'll email you if I can do it through your Yahoo profile. Okay, I just looked, and I can't. But you can email me. So I will help more if I can.

Do you know what state he lives in?? Contact relatives, perhaps the relatives your mentioned or your parents. When you do find him, be prepared. Its very hard to maintain a relationship with someone who your related to, but may live far from and have never met before. I know, Im in the same situation.

gather as much info as you can and check public records. Start with where he was born; last contact;
Try locating these relatives you mentioned perhaps they will be able to give you more information.

Good Luck.

If I were you I would try contacting a day time talk show host. Maury or perhaps Oprah. Never know unless you try. Good Luck!
