Normally we take 3 times a day and 1 of it serving just after the exercise so that body can consume it immediately to see better results.
You can take creatine 5gm 1/2 an hour before the exercise but for the very first week u have to take 20gm creatine per day 5-5 gm 4 times a day , that we called loading phase. After one week u have to stick to 5gm per day. Give a gap of 1 month when you would be completed 2 months.

Bye,

definitely right before, your body will have time to break down the protein molecules and supply it to your blood stream. Most enzymes are protein and are catalysts for chemical reactions. The amino acids in proteins also help with the electron transport chain, which end results in water and ATP. The water will help flush out the lactic acid from your muscles, which is what causes the tiredness, aches and cramps in your muscles. ATP is the major energy source for your body, so you will have more energy.

Hope this helps, but you can always do both just in case.

for optimum results you should do both. a small serving of powdered protein (10-20) grams before training. this supplies the body with some branched chain amino acids (BCAA's) which will help to reduce the catabolic effects of resistance training. then another 20-25 grams of protein after training to once again supply BCAA's so the body can start the repair process of the various muscles that were exercises. after training you also want to ingest some carbohydrates. i recommend using a matrix of carbohydrates from simple and complex sources. for most 40-50grams of carbs after training is sufficient

I take three protein shakes a day.

On a training day .....One before weights.. one after weights and one before I go to sleep. I add a half teaspoon of L glutamine to each shake... some guys also add creatine.

If I am on a cardio day.. I take one in the morning, one immediately after cardio and one at night before I go to sleep.

After training I also eat some natural fruit... the complex sugar helps me recover quickly.

i was always told by atheletic trainers that you drink one after your workout, and before you go to sleep because that is when your muscles replenish.
