Yes I did. Although I am not exactly healthy (SCI suffering T5 injury, paralyzed from the chest down) I still did. Reason being, this is the law. It states that ALL male US citizen who came of age (18) should sign up for selective service. If you don't, you can be fine $250,000 and according to what I know, jail time. Of course there are ways that you don't have to sign up and won't get charged for it, like of course enlisting and sign up after you get discharged from the branch.

I never had to sign up for selective service.
I joined in 1980 at the age of 18 and retired in 2003. I joined before it became law and retired way beyond the minimum age. Also, since I was active duty, I was not required to sign up.

It is the law. If you do not sign up and get caught you could be in for a $250,000 fine and some jail time. Personally I did not sign up until I was 21 and had just been discharged from the Navy.

yup...sorry to say it's the law. I wouldn't stess myself about it though. The draft hasn't been in effect since the 70s and the chances of it coming back are pretty slim even with the wars going on.
