I am asking for some advise on why this is happening, or If anyone else has been in the same situation.
My mom says that I only see the good in others and want to make a positive impact on their lives.
I always thought I just was been looking for a nice, cute guy who was determined in school, the community, and was very close to his family like me. But it just seems like my heart is always saying the opposite when I am attracted to guys that don't care about school, the community, or very much about their familes.

People sometimes get attracted to what they are not or don't have. If you are too god then the theory says that you will be a bit attracted to someone who is at least a bit bad because this way you are trying to achieve balance in your life. The opposite is also true. All extremes are bad. You need balance in your life. Just like too much salt is bad for you. Water is great for you but too much of it can kill you because it will watch out the salt in your body. Balance is the key. Your lack of balance is making you look into something that will put you back in equilibrium. If you are extremely responsible you may look for a person who is a bit inresponsible because you will want that care free attitude about things.
Just because people don't meet your standards does not makes them bad people. You may have too high of a standards or these standards are not as important to others as they are to you. What you must realize is that there is a difference between not wanting to live up to your standards and being a bad person. There are a lot of bad people who are trully bad. Stay away from these people.

It is very difficult to explain. Try and think of it as Yen and Yang or in the Asian culture you cant have light without the dark or just know that women have been attracted to the Bad boys for a long time. The Bad boys appear to have more confidence and self assurance which is a quality that is very appealing to young and impressionable girls.

this also happens to me a lot. i think that i must...well i dont know. maybe i have low self-esteem and dont realize it. ive heard that good girls are always attracted to the bad boys so maybe it's just that. maybe we're influenced by the media...maybe opposites really do attract. let me know if you think you've figured it out because i'd like to know too. :]

Like the song says..."Why do good girls like bad guys"
I don't know why but if you get one, don't let him bring you down. Keep your morals and if he doesn't rise to meet you, leave him on the ground.
