Do you have an opinion on this?

A better question is how does Christianity treat children who are born with ambiguous gender. My wife used to work with a surgeon who had a specialty in 'fixing' babies that were born with mixed up genitals. Some babies are born with XXY or XYY chromosomes instead of the usual XX for females or XY for males. The presence of the Y chromosome usually makes the babies appear to be male, but tend to have higher levels of female hormones. Do Christians think such babies "choose" to not be completely masculine? Do Christians think that it is part of "God's plan" to have these kinds of chromosomal defects?

If the parents wished to raise the child as a Christian, they would need to seek out a church that is accepting and understanding of such situations. Fortunately, there are a growing number of churches that would treat the child and his/her family with the respect they deserve. All people, including transgendered ones, have a place in Christianity.

Hello.
If you believe in reincarnation, this would be easily acceptable. He is really a girl, a she.
Did you not read, "But from the beginning of creation, God 'made them male and female' " -Mark 10:6

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:27
And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam (Heb. Man), and he slept: and he took one of his ribs (Heb. Sides), and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
And the rib (side), which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. Genesis 2:21-22 (The separation of the woman within the man to become only man or woman.)

But He said to them, "All cannot accept this saying, but only those to whom it has been giving:
"For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother's womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it." Matthew 19:11-12

Hope that answers your question.
Take care and God bless.

If you are not speaking of androgynous people, but rather people who let their children be what they want for what ever reason. I find the idea abhorrent. God has made us what we are and as parents it is our job to help the children learn to accept who and what we are. Children formulate their ideas from their surroundings. You can not convince me that a child of 1-5 comes up to mom and dad and says I am a boy/girl in a girl/boy body.
