(actual text)
Kevin:
This is Kevin from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. How may I help you?
michael:
I read that Brigham Young said if the a black person and a white person produce any offspring it should be death on the spot for the couple. Is this true. My friend is African American and looking into the church, and I was reading about you guys online and came across several rascists statements made by your church. I don't know any Mormons personally, so I came here to aske the question.
Kevin:
I have never heard this.
Kevin:
I would question the source.
michael:
Here is the quote. It is on several internet sites. “Shall I tell you the law of God in regard to the AFRICAN RACE? If the WHITE man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the PENALTY, under the LAW OF GOD, IS DEATH ON THE SPOT. THIS WILL ALWAYS BE SO.” (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 10, page 110)
Kevin:
Interesting. I have never heard it.

Do not put out lies and twisted statement, and claimed it as fact. You make yourself more stupid than you sound.

First, Mormon missionaries are not allowed to chat online. Second, a mormon missionary is not going to introduce himself by his first name. So, we must assume that you are not being entirely honest in your attempts to slander the Church. Finally, it could certainly be true that a member of our church does not know every single thing that has been said since the church's inception. This is particularly true, since we primarily dedicate ourselves to studying the scriptures. Surely you would not claim that you or anyone else could know everything about the bible or whatever religion you may be. Based on the amount of time you waste researching anti-mormon foolishness, it would be amazing if you had any time to study God's word.
I will attempt to address your question, but invite you to read the bible as this will help you resolve many of your "doubts" concerning the church. As I do not have a copy of the Journal of Discourses to verify your statements, I will just assume that they are true. They seem to refer to Genesis 4, where the Lord punishes Cain for murdering his brother, Abel. If you read the passage carefully, it says (verse 15) that the Lord will set a mark upon Cain to protect him from being killed. It is believed that the mark was dark skin, however, it is not seen as a curse as people often insinuate. The bible indicates that it was a protection. The Lord does place a curse upon Cain and his seed in this chapter in verses 11-14. This involves him being cast out from his family, losing his inheritance, losing the right to the priesthood, etc. The Israelites were not permitted to marry out of the faith, which would have included Cain's seed since they had been cursed by the Lord and cast out, having lost the right to the Priesthood. To marry the seed of Cain, an Israelite would have been abandoning their faith, their God, as well as the blessings of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. So, in many ways this would have been death, spiritual death because they would be violating God's laws and the covenants that they had made with him.
If you have a problem with these verses take it up with God as he was the one who cursed Cain in the first place.

I had a roommate who did that (develop into between the missionaries on the different end). She loved it. I requested her what type of questions she regularly were given on the web site, and she suggested they were given dissimilar the "demanding" questions, like handling blacks and the priesthood, or deep doctrine, that they theory might want to stump the missionaries. What human beings do not imagine about is, the missionaries already comprehend all the tender/confusing topics, and performance had years to practice a superior answer for each of them! So the "confusing" questions are fairly those they comprehend perfect, because they have responded them such dissimilar circumstances. I continuously went to my roommate for confusing questions I had. She continuously knew the solutions. My only criticism about the web site is it takes a zillion years for the chat element to load (waiting for a missionary to develop into available to examine with you). i'd be a really impatient man or woman, so as that did not artwork so nicely for me. yet in case you will get by, extra capacity to you!

It is a typical response and it is very much like all the responses you get from Mormons on here. They either geuinelly dont know the dark secrets (of which there are heaps) of the Mormon religion or they do and they just do not care.

Why do you hate and fear the mormons so fiercely? Did you do something that you are afraid will flash back to hurt you as you tried to hurt them?
If you want the Truth.....Ask a Pagan.
