KILL UNBELIEVERS - Acts 3:23 … "And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear the prophet, shall be destroyed."
KILL UNBELIEVERS - 2 Chronicles 15:12-13 (NIV) … They entered into a covenant to seek the LORD, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul. All who would not seek the LORD, the God of Israel, were to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman.

Which scriptures? Do you mean the Bible? I presume you have read the Koran, the Book of Mormon, the Baghavad Gita, the writings of the Buddha, the writings of Confucius etc etc. There are many answers in all of those, the Bible does not have a monopoly - as the majority of the people of the world have decided.

No I did. I just really didn't believe most of it.
I just think that sending two bears to kill kids is a little harsh. 2 Kings 2:23-24. There are lots more. Turning Lot's wife to salt for looking back. That whole Job thing was amazing. Flooding the whole Earth to kill off everyone.
The Bible on the whole is a horrible faerie tale, especially the Old Testament. If you behaved the way God does you would be in a mental hospital or jail. Why would you want to use that as a guide?

The scriptures have been so badly butchered and expanded beyond any truths they may have had, their reading only gives a person a base of modern bigotry and monotheism.

I have read them, sonny. I read the entire bible twice, and took notes the second time through. I re-read parts over and over. Sorry, it doesn't have any answers for me. Lots of cute little stories in between the mass murder, scatology, pornographic violence and gruesome death, but no answers. I'll take a biology, psychology, anatomy or physics textbook every time.

Do you realize that, from the way you worded your question, you basically just said that there is nothing to learn from the scriptures. Gotta love those double negatives.

I've read them. The answers are not there. I've also read the Koran; no answers. I've begun to read the Mahabarata, but so far, no answers. The only spiritual texts I've gotten any answers from so far have been the Tao Te Ching and Ramtha's White Book. Please read them and get back to me.

I believe alot of the answers to life are there but the bible is hard to understand sometimes. We don't think or speak as we once did so it can be hard to translate it's exact meaning.
