Hmm. Interesting question. Long time ago I found myself desperately attracted to a single (widowed) father of 3 children. One of the reasons I didn't act on it - I felt I'd have to step in as a mother right away, but I was way too young for that at the time. BTW he married someone else later.

sure- seeing a man with his kid is a great way to learn about him, and he will probably also have his priorities in order.

The only dealbreaker would be if he is a single dad because he had an affair or wasn't into having a family.

You also have to consider the child's feelings- take it slow and be understanding when you aren't included in everything they do. Most single parents don't expose their kids to people they date unless they know it's going to last- it's just not fair to confuse them.

I am dating a single father and it is working out very well for us. I admire him for the time and patience that he provides his son with.

It depends on how I feel about the man. If he mistreats his child, he will do the same for me. It depends on the relationship with the babies' mother also. That is a very loaded question. Good luck.
